24/7 news channels have been the perfect propaganda tools. You will feel much better once you shut them off. But good luck ever trying to watch them again. They may just start to piss you off :winkwink:

Good job! "The news" is not intended to inform. It is intended to addict you so that they can continue to sell ads. Not watching the news actually makes you MORE informed, in my opinion.

I'm just trying to find a good religion now because I don't want to worry about the after life either. I found a piece of literature like this from the Jehovah witness girls. If you are in the US and want to watch some GOOD news then your best alternatives are, depending on if you are on satellite or cable, either Canadian world news or BBC World. They tend to be pretty balanced in their reports.

I never watch the news unless there is something major happening. I get my info from the net mostly.

the real breaking news are even more sick

I remember the first time I actually turned that fucker on. 9/11 ... someone called me and told me we were under attack. I've been glued to it ever since.
