Comcast or AT&T- need advice
I'm in a dilemma and need some advice. I've been with Comcast for 3 years and currently under the triple play promotion. But the other day, a rep from AT&T stopped by my house and offered me a really tempting deal. I'm considering switching but not before I hear what others like or dislike about both.

I had alltel for 2 years with no problems. Never once had a dropped call, missed call, random voicemail with no missed call .. nothing..
When I purchased the iphone in Jan. I signed a 2 year contract and I count the days till i can get out. I am always getting random voicemails but never get a missed call alert, text messages have been known to show up 2 days late and overall their customer service sucks. Just a warning that att sucks for me and if I didnt love my iphone so much or i would have paid to break the contract already  |
stick with comcast... att sucks ass for everything.
Iphone is going to suck until they make it to more networks. |
I am using the ATT U-verse and I like the tv and highspeed. No problems as of yet. Been 4 months.

In my area Comcast has service that TESTS at 31 mpbs! They say it will eventually go up to 60! AT&T can't come close with UVerse or DSL. Stick with Comcast and upgrade!

I vote for comcast...
btw I'm in SJ too... |
Be careful with Comcast, they've been very aggressive at throttling customers, limiting their total up and download limits for the month.

One is cable and one is DSL right? There's really no choice. Cable wins every time.
|
Comcast has 250 GB monthly cap. At&t is testing caps. Their top cap once instituted if you have U-verse is 150 GB. It's 80 GB for 6 mbps DSL.

I have at&t (formally bellsouth and cingular) for landline/cell because it's basically the best choice in my area. I live out on the water and the cable company refuses to provide internet service to us, so I dropped them and got DIRECTV.
I pretty much hate the cable AND phone company, though. It's a little better since at&t took over bellsouth. My cell service has always been good. If I could, I would try cable just to check out the net speeds, but I would never give up DIRECTV. |
I'm guessing there's no Cox service in your area..?
second choice would be Comcast.. |

Choose Comcast!

And the winner is... Comcast. Thanks everyone for the advice. I guess I'll stay with Comcast and threaten them to switch if my bill goes up after the triple play deal expires. I had dish in the past but is too damn confusing, plus I didn't have Spanish channels including playboy.
