q for the fighters round these parts...what self defense dicipline should i study
this will be for self defense purposes...close quarters, half the time i will be outweighed by at least 100lbs if not more...the fight's will proly be to my death, so my goal is immobilize/disorient and get the fuck away asap...not sit and fight to the end...hope that makes sense...
|
ps...if i suddenly stop posting in the near future i am proly dead
|

Oh, and wear golf shoes with metal spikes, and start dancing on the concrete so you make sparks, saying "Ah cha cha" at the end of each move, this will also confuse them momentarily. |

[QUOTE=aico;15063648]everytime they hit you, moan like you're about to cum... that, with the combination of my Flung Poo discipline should thwart any defeat. QUOTE] much like the poo attack this will proly only make them happy not to mention it will proly be their technique too... im thing cross of crab and akido? is akido just show or does it work? |

I heard guns can do that.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
But you're still probably going to get smashed by guys 100 pounds heavier than you. Not too much you can do about that. |
my favorite and most practical in my opinion has been Muay Thai ... very raw and to the point not pretty or going to impress to many chicks .. but certainly evens your odds and a great way top stay in shape .. I studied under a great old guy named "Gordy Gong" for over 10 years .. it can become a lifestyle ..and one hell of a way to vent on mother fuckers who pissed me off after a long night of drinking .....( just being honest ) lol

Gun fu :2 cents:

to fit what you are asking, Krav Maga is probably the best (although maybe special forces hand to hand and weapon training for many different countries would work)
Krav Maga is the only one that seriously trains for quick survival fights where your aim would be to live or kill your opponent as quickly as possible, and they train with guns as well Krav Maga is probably the only serious suggestion for you, but the difficulty is in finding a good teacher in lieu of actually going to Israel to prepare to fight in real war :2 cents: |

yeah that seemed the most logical except i need them to live:1orglaugh...i need something that involves deflection and running away to combine with it...tis why i ask if akido is just for show or does it work in real world practice...especially with the weight and reach im giving up |

Just get a big fat can of Bear Spray. That's really your only choice.

alot of krav maga drills are about getting distance from your opponent and getting the fuck out of there... jiu jitsu training seems more often about closing distance and engaging battle with your opponent on the ground |

I got my 17 years of BJJ done and under my belt(Black Belt). The problem with being that good and skilled, people generally know it and bring a gun. It has happened 3 times to me. And i was there when a man brought a gun and pulled it on my instructor Rigan Machado at the academy. Rigan banged this guys wife and didnt know she was married. The guy knew Rigan was the real deal and came prepared. I thought it was going to be a murder suicide that day. I get out of most situations with a hand shake and an apology. Works almost every time.:thumbsup |

If you want a more practical and more offense-oriented art that incorporates the principals of aikido you are talking about, you should try Hapkido. It combines the kicking/punching of a traditional striking style like taekwondo, the joint locks/throws/circular motion of aikido, and the hip throws of judo. It is often weak on the grappling side of things though.
No matter what, you are looking at a good 3 years before any art really begins to become ingrained and useful for you, and easily 5 to 10 before it becomes sort of natural and effective. You might want to learn escrima and then just carry a billy club or some small staffs around with you all the time. |
Bunny style duh...

What a strange collection of worries you have.
Instead of trying to fight/defend and escape, just ask yourself . . . what the fuck are you doing to piss everyone off so much? Maybe you could just stop doing that shit. Most "normal" adults don't have such worries. And think of all the money you would save not having to buy a fluffy bathrobe outfit, a karate kid headband and goofy lessons. |
Offer to suck everyone's dick. That usually gets me out of most tense situations with groups of guys.
Let me know how it goes. |
Nike Fu.
Nothing will get you prepared fast enough. Though I would put a 6 month BJJ white belt over any other 6 month Martial Art any day of the week. |
What exactly are you walking into that you will need to fight to the death? And if that situation is true, what have you done that you cannot seek out legal protection?
If your life is in danger, I really don't see why the welfare of the other person should even be considered. If they are trying to kill you, you kill them... whatever it takes. |
The flying manboob drop kick (with optional hole in crotch) is a crowd pleaser everytime.

if these guys are that much of bullies to want to fight someone less than half their size, then you shouldn't even be thinking of fighting them, I'd use weaponry or better yet avoid the scene altogether... don't think about trying to get them to the ground, because they will be strong enough to grab a hold of you and not let go :2 cents:check out this video for what can happen when somebody tries to fight someone twice their size: WARNING - the result is ugly to watch... |

The mma fighter was told not to throw punches or kicks. Makes the destruction even more painful, doesn't it? |

of course TKD which is a sport more than a realistic fighting style is not much of a help either |

Pepper Spray. It's cheaper and more effective.
Just a note though... Some guys it just pisses them off more, especially if they been sprayed a few times by it. But it quickly gets you the upper hand and ya goto ask yerself... Should I kick em and take advantage of the moment or run? Which leads to... Do you feel lucky? |

Hey if you want to fight.. and create distance at the same time.. why not try "arnis"
it's a local martial arts here in my country... that uses some stick to attack and defend at the same time... and if you're pretty skilled.. you can combine it with some kungfu , aikido, muai thai or some brazillian juijitsu... I saw this one time in a tourney.. that he cracked open the opponents head and kicked him in his guts.. and then.. KO.. pretty cool.. Or you can learn how to do samurai techniques in arnis.. i would choose the hit and run version for you.. you hit the attacker then run.. if he chase you. you stop and hit him again.. then run.. It's kinda wuzz but hey... your a wuzz right.. hahah... just kidding... |
