2257 is United States regulation 2257 it only applies to the US. It is my understanding that Canada and the European union ruled that the right of privacy over rules this regulation and 2257 is in fact illegal in those countries.

but I'm not an attorney check out the free speech coalition for more information on 2257.

Now that doesn't mean don't continue to keep your records properly, but I wouldn't worry too much about some other details they wanted you to follow other than record keeping, but of course you should consult an adult attorney that throughly understands the law as it currently is. :winkwink:

I've been reporting the fuckers that download porn off torrents and then setup premium SMS sites for downloading content to local financial police authorities.

For some reason they like dealing with this.

But I've never heard of a _central_ organization that would control this.

2257 hasnīt got a European equivalent. Regarding other laws you have to distinguish between penal law and civil code. Penal laws are controlled by public prosecutors.

If your problem is a copyright violation - which I assume - public prosecutors and other organizations wonīt help you much. You have to mandate an attorney to solve this problem.
