I loved the airshows. My dad used to take the family to them all the time. The Blue Angels Rock! The pictures are great.

Great pictures, they are really cool! But when is the US Government going to stop spending money on stupid shit like that. I can only imagine how many millions it costs to fly the Blue Angels every year, if not billions. That money could be spent on a free beer Friday for the whole nation or something!

It's just great marketing.
And the US isn't the only country with an air show.
And I'd pass up any pussy for the chance to ride in one of those jets.

Just my old Canon 10d & a 28-135mm lens. Going to airshows makes me want to buy a telescopic lens, but then i'd probably never use it for anyother reason.

They sell a couple of launch tickets that put you in this area. I think they have a couple of viewing spots that are even closer. Due to security concerns they quit allowing vehicles on the property, so i guess you have to take a bus.

The airshow was right across from the Delta or Titan launch pads. I was amazed by how close they put the viewing bleachers for those launches. So close, i'd probably be scared to watch a launch. You'd be lucky to survive if something like this happens:

Awesome pics, thanks.

The money is well spent.

1. The taxpayers get something for their zillions.
2. It is great recruiting PR for the Navy and the military in general.

Thanks, I'm going to try and watch from there at least one time before the Shuttle program ends.

Here's a thread I made awhile back with some air show pics I took last year
