thats from gamestop.com and probably what it is since WOW has so many fucking junkies

RedShoe 11-12-2008 08:46 PM

Am I the only one that's never played WOW?

Chris 11-12-2008 08:48 PM

Ah okay
i played it
got to level 60
it was alright just got bored with it ....

blizzard has some serious crack on there hands. Atleast 300 people total lining up for a midnight release in my small city is insane

what the game is like 70$ a shot right? plus like 20 a month .. gesh

dynastoned 11-12-2008 08:49 PM

i played that game for like 5 minutes and deleted it. i don't see what all the hype is about.

Nope... I'd love to though... But I know myself.. I'd get sucked in and get nothing done.

kane 11-12-2008 08:54 PM

Today is the day Blizzard backs the truck right up to a bank vault. They have around 11 million subscribers and the expansion at $40 or so comes out at midnight. The game costs between $11 and $15 a month to play depending on what type of subscription option you get. They are making a mint off the game.

I'll be getting it, but not for a few days. The first week of an expansion are terrible because everything is over crowded. It is pissing rain where I live tonight and one of my friends is getting in line at 9pm to get the game at midnight.

JD 11-12-2008 08:55 PM

never got into WoW :/

Oblivion sucked some serious fucking time from my life though. Worried Fallout3 will do the same

Turboface 11-12-2008 08:59 PM

I have been WoW free for over two years now. I'm just taking it one day at a time.

:)

I have not played it.. I am afraid to play it since I have seen how much it has consumed others lives online... It really seems like a drug to me at times the way people get sucked into it.

I have a friend that ended up getting divorced because of WOW. She is one of those people that is obsessive about anything she does so when she started playing WOW she got consumed by it. She was bad enough that at one point her computer went down. Another friend of mine told her he thought it was memory or hard drive and he would come over on Saturday to look at and fix it. This was a thursday night. She couldn't wait so she sent her then husband to Walmart to buy her a new computer. She stayed up until 4 am installing the game then just stayed up and went to work at 6am.

My buddy went out on Satuday and looked at her old computer. It was a single memory stick that was fixed with $30. She spent $1000 to get a new computer because she couldn't wait 36 hours to play the game.

A few months later she was divorced. The best part is she moved into an apartment and met a guy in the game. She flew him across the country to live with her. He was 24 and she is 39. He had never had a job and literally lived at home with his mom. He didn't work and just stayed home all day working on their guild for the game. After about 6 months she booted him out and payed for him to move back across the country and move back in with his mom.

oh yeah, that is going to be extreme!!!! :thumbsup:thumbsup

the thing is, diablo will pull alot of people away from Wow, and it is pretty hard to dedicate to two games at once, so I wonder how Blizzard will have a strategy for this release?

Diablo owns all other games and then some :2 cents:

DannysReviews|com 11-12-2008 10:46 PM

I saw a huge motherfucking line, so I started beeping my horn at the guys waiting at best buy on the way home. LOL

Iron Fist 11-12-2008 11:09 PM

I have no idea... because if I pretend that I like WoW, i'll get addicted and stop showering for a week after a new release.. and I don't want to go back there.

You could literally replace the computer/wow with crack cocaine and the story would not seem out of place.

never played... but i play FFXI every once in a while which is like 10x worse as far as "depth"

games like WoW and FFXI are serious crack.... if you're into those kind of games

PersianKitty 11-13-2008 12:34 AM

hehe.. my son and daughter-in-law went at 11pm to see all the people standing in line because some local store was having a WoW costume contest. They took the camera with them. Thought it would be worth a laugh or two.

dodger21 11-13-2008 12:37 AM

You know, another one of my friends actually said something similar. He said. If you tell someone that story but use the word "meth" instead of WOW it would sound just as bad.

noize 11-13-2008 04:04 AM

WOW is crack for sure! Played it for a month, then realized I hadn't done shit besides deepen the butt grooves in my chair.

RedShoe 11-13-2008 04:42 AM

My game of choice was Team Fortress. I rocked at that game. I have TF2 just haven't had any time to load and play TF2.
