Geeks: What's your LINUX distro of choice?

What's your Linux distro of choice? For both desktop and server.

I'm old school and use Slackware on my self-managed servers, mainly because it's straightforward and it's what I know. Currently I'm using a Mac for a desktop but I've been playing around with Ubuntu and I'm considering going back to using Linux as my main desktop OS.

What's your choice of Linux and what's the reasoning behind it?

Anything Debian based. I run Ubuntu personally just because it's convenient.

My ubuntu ultimate just updated itself to Intrepid Ibex and broke my video and audio drivers. Arggggg. Luckily I have a dual boot of XP Pro to fall back on.

Slackware/Suse for desktop if you're not new in linux
OpenBsd/FreeBsd (not linux) for server, you will like it :)

I'm seriously developing a crush on you. I should have some free time next week. Let me know if you have time for a stalker.

CentOS on my servers and just switched to Ubuntu on my desktop. I had been using Gentoo but configuration was becoming a real pain in the ass. I love Ubuntu, it's dumbed down to the point that almost anyone can use it.

Next week is looking busy, unfortunately. I'm having a few game nights with my best bud to play the new Silent Hill game :)

Wow, you play games too? Now you're just teasing. S.H. Homecoming is pretty decent. Not as good as the others but still worth playing.

Less than a week until Left 4 Dead is released. Sounds like you might like that one.

Actually I just have time for SH:H. I'm not as much of a gamer anymore, but I adore my Silent Hill :)
