Anybody like them? Got Vol. 1 of their live album on...

But most of you guys like Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot and stuff like that, don't ya? ;)

Fletch XXX 11-07-2002 01:39 AM

I have a few of their records.

Yeah, Heroin's on this album... I normally hate live recordings but I've always made an exception for these guys.

...

OH MY GOD! I've gotta skip this track... Uh... Must... get to the... remote....

I remember seeing a Velvet Underground Tribute band one night in some shit hole bar I believe it was the "Mermaids Lounge" in the Art Distric of New Orleans... somewhere along the way at an Absolut Vodka Art Show http://www.eyestorm.com/absolut100/ Jeff Koons was there, it was fun. Weird, but fun.

:smokin

Funny night.

Redbone 11-07-2002 01:51 AM

You guys know this album I'm talking about? Two CDs... Lou Reed talking bullshit for two mintues before they start playing... The album cover is a close shot of his wide ass in a pair of tight-fitting panties, when he thought he was a drag queen... Y'know?

Redbone 11-07-2002 01:54 AM

And hey, speaking of Canadians (ah...)... That band Luna began as a kind of VU tribute band, then devolved into pop crap. Their first album is very good, though, if you like VU. They remade "Ride into the Sun" with words, and it's way better than the original.

This is what I am listening to right now.

One of, if not the first ever 32 track record, ever. Hence its name, "Layers" Awesome stuff if ya can dig it.

One of my fave jazz funk fusion albums of all time, next to Hancock's Chameleon.

'Sweet Jane' and 'Waiting for the Man' are my fave VU songs.
