Veteran's Day in Canada [PICS]
A few shots I took earlier today of the ceremony at the Cenotaph in St. Catharines (Ontario, Canada) in honour of Veteran's Day/Remembrance Day.
We laid a wreath on behalf of the Commissionaire Corp. of Canada. To all the veterans both past and present - a heartfelt thank you for your sacrifices and service to our country. http://www.fetishopolis.com/kap-images/skkaq211.jpg http://www.fetishopolis.com/kap-images/skkaq209.jpg http://www.fetishopolis.com/kap-images/skkaq205.jpg |

Nice to have this day for the vets but really they deserve thanks the whole year round. |

Heard on the news tonight that Canada is down to its last surviving WWI veteran - John Babcock, 108 years old. I can't even begin to imagine fighting/surviving WWI and then living to be 108. That's beyond remarkable. |
I have a wicked vet day story from my grandpa.
t'ill this day I cherish it. God bless... |
Shit, I passed by there today, thought they were holding a casting call for Grumpy Old Men 3

My grandfather served in the Merchant Marine in the North Atlantic - and I had several great uncles who fought in both Dieppe and the first landings on Omaha beach....a couple of which were killed in action. |
