do single opt-in email sponsors exist?
 

presumably at a much lower rate than double opt-in confirmed signups, i'm looking for sponsors who want email addresses via single opt-in (check boxes) for their offers. with the whole double opt-in thing even when the user's checking off the box for the offer you lose a lot due to the percentage that actually open their email and click the link to confirm.

If someone doesn't confirm in a double opt in, he probably didn't want to be on the mailing list in the first place. Single opt is way to easy to cheat, why would any sponsor do that?

Single opt in doesn't prevent unscrupulous webmasters from just bombing te forms with usenet harvested emails.... or even fake emails at that. :( Double opt in [despite some problems] seems to be the right standard.

yea, i was sort of thinking that's what i'd hear; i can put up with the double opt-in i guess
