What are the kids asking for this Christmas?

Tis that time of year again. What are the hot gifts this year? What is the *must have* on the lists of the kids?

Mine have not really asked for much this year except for my youngest who is into WoW a bit more. They have a hardback collection of books and of course the new expansion that comes out in a few days. Good thing he is not level 70 yet :)

I read in the newspaper this is a HUGE xmas for computer games/consoles.

So much so that HMV and other places are taking away some space from their DVD, Music sections to make room for a larger gaming section...

I have seen pink Barbie laptops which are really just basic machines with no real power but look real for young kids. I guess eight isn't all that young now though.

TheDoc 11-11-2008 09:45 AM

Ours wanted to go to the Ocean and swim.

Vicious_B 11-11-2008 10:02 AM

I have a 13 year old girl and a 15 year old son. I have already recieved the "lists" My daughter is easy, all she ever wants is craft stuff though for once this year there are a couple of video cames included being I got her a Wii last year. My son I made revise his list because the first one had nothing but video games on it. Told him thats not going to happen go back and do it again.

Elli 11-11-2008 11:34 AM

Kids these days! Just get them bicycles and tell them not to come back inside until it's almost dark and/or they're terribly hungry.

NaughtyVisions 11-11-2008 12:36 PM

According to my son, everything that appears on a commercial on TV...unless it's for girls.

His biggest wish is a guitar, and not one of those cheap JC Penney deluxe things either. He wants this, which Santa will be putting under the tree for him this year:

The Christmas tree may not have a lot of presents, but parents will get their kids something.

I do remember Christmas where all I got was school paper, pencils and crayons. Those were days.

I'l ask my mommy for some cheap hookers :)

Mrs F.U.B.A.R. 11-12-2008 06:15 AM

our youngest daughter has asked for a new drawing pad for her computer...:thumbsup
she wants to replace her old one. Seems it's getting a bit old and banged up. She uses it almost every day and the old one doesn't work as well with her mac book that she bought herself this year (good hardworking kid). Since she is looking at graphic arts stuff for college or university next year, you bet Santa will be bringing it for her.
Santa (read Mom & Dad) still thinks it was one of the best presents they ever gave her. And turned out to be good value as well since it lasted 4 years with daily use :winkwink:

My 9 y/o says he wants a wii, but I think my wife secretly wants it and has convinced him he wants one.

I might get him a laptop instead as his pc *my old, old one* has pretty much died.
