i wokeup to a snake in my bed today
yesterday i noticed one of my corns somehow popped the latch on his terrarium open, i wa spretty worried as i couldn't find him. woke up this morning and tossed the sheets off and he was curled up down by my leg right under the sheets! he's a friendly little guy and i'm sure he just found a nice warm place to crash for the night, but for a second there he scared the living fuck out of me! :( last place i thought i'd find him!

Where are you at? I'm in Florida and our corn snakes are different here. (Same as Red Rat Snakes)
|
What's with all the shavings in your bed?
|
I would split his head apart with my katana. I hate snakes.
|
when I read the title I thought you lived out on the range somewhere..."woke up with a snake in by bed roll, shot it, ate it for breakfast and got on my horse and mosied on..."

Too much corn in your poop, he was just looking for food.

I used to have a rather large bull snake that didnt have a cage and slept in my closet..it would come out at night..slither across my bed which was a futon at the time, and climb around the window trying to get out or rub its skin off its nose.
Alice, my current snake would only curl up on my neck in the middle of the night. He has gone from a sweet little guy that was only a little over a foot long to a 6 foot monster thats body is as thick as my thigh and could crush my chest cavity. Your corn is cute..looks like its getting ready to shed |
geez, how can u sleep with the snake in a bed? looks like you were very calm. If I were you, I would have scaried a lot and scream loudly.
|
Heh...I feel asleep watching a movie and holding my snake a month or so ago. I woke up with her laying across my neck and face. I jumped a little when I woke up, but mostly it was just funny.
I've got a 3 1/2 ft. long, 1 year old albino burmese python named Rosa. |

A friend just told me a story about her python or boa I can't remember which. She always slept with it with no problems, then one day it just stopped eating. Hadn't eaten for weeks I guess. She woke up one morning and it was stiff as a board next to her. She thought it was dead and poked it, but it was still alive.
She called the vet and told him what was going on. I guess the vet screamed at her to just get the fuck out of the house. From what he told her, the snake was sizing her up to see if it was big enough to swallow her. She shit herself and got rid of the snake. Why in the world people keep cold blooded animals as pets and say they are friendly. All they know if to keep warm and to eat. They have no feelings, except maybe hunger. |
Scary. I hate crawling animals.
