Why would you leave Manhattan, of all places, at 4:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon? I can think of many average sized cities that I wouldn't even attempt that... Manhattan? Get out the lube... you two may as well have some fun while waiting.

I've driven in or through LA, Chicago, Atlanta, and have been to NYC. We wouldn't even take the vehicle into New York, instead left it at the hotel and bussed it into the city, subway and cabs from there. You have to learn to pick your battles.

yeah fuck NYC. I've drove into downtown chicago on i-90 between 4-6 in the evening and it blew, but not as bad as seeing people drive in nyc

The trick is you have to keep your bumper 3 inches from the bumper in front of you, but not crash into them. No way to cut you off then!

Last week with traffic jams, accidents and road maintenance, it took me 6 hours to go 70 miles (back & forth) to visit a client.
that sucks big ass time..

Paris is bad mainly because they just dont know how to drive there. Sydney, are you honestly comparing sydneys traffic to new york?

The worst traffic is in tokyo congestion wise although new york is close. However i would still rather drive in tokyo and ny than certain asian countries where every time you get on the road is like a survival to stay alive.

when we had to evacuate for friggin hurricane gustav, it took us over 6 hours to drive about 40 miles, in 100 degree heat.

I wouldnt drive in NYC.. I only rollerbladed..its insane.. people really dont drive in the lanes..especially the cab drivers.

I have had really bad experiences in Wa. DC traffic...ugh.
