I had to pull my 9mm today and almost killed someone.
 

Never thought I would find myself in this kind of situation.

THe low down.
My Uncle did some work for one of the nieghbors.
The Neighbor now hates my uncle, and the nephew of my neighbor jumped onto my property this morning and threatened my Uncle with a Shotgun.

It was a Sawed off. I was in the house when it went down.
I saw him with the shotgun pointing it at my uncle.

So I grabbed my 9MM for the first time in my life with intent to use it. Loaded it charged it.

Went outside.
Had the safety off and had the upper hand entirelly I came out aiming.
He charged his shotgun and did not see me comming.

Only reason my neighbors nephew is not dead right now is because he charged the shotgun again while yelling at my uncle about some stupid fucking tools. I realised his Shotgun was empty at that point when he charged it a 2nd time.

Totally fucking freaky incident so way the fuck out of the norm of my life.

I was in seconds of killing someone today.
It's a Very strange feeling.

Was he a black man?

I put the safety on after he charged it a 2nd time, he didnt see me I was behind the truck and he was to busy screaming at my uncle.

So with the safety on I put the 9 into my hoodie pocket and came out and told to get em the fuck off my property and will be calling the police.

SO he didnt know I was armed, nor did he know I had his chest in my sites just seconds earlier.
So all this is going down right now.

Although it does make things bit better having to live by someone like that if they knew youd have no problem killing them might make things a little tense.

Sounds like a laundry list of offenses including assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing, trespassing, possession of an illegal firearm (sawed off)... is he in jail? The sawed off could pull significant jail time alone.

A 9 is perfectly fine for close combat. It will kill someone if you need it to. Nothing wrong with it.

I'd rather use a 45 but nothing wrong with a 9.

Fuck that... I wouldn't of waited for the second time he charged the shotgun, although I admire your recognizing it being empty during the heat of the moment, At the first charge I would of been pulling triggers.

I'm with those saying file a police report. If any other incidents happen with this idiot neighbor of yours you now have something on file that the cops can go on.

Instead of thinking about shooting him with the gun, once you realized his weapon wasn't the threat you thought it was, you should have shot him with your camera. Pics of him pointing a weapon at your family member, loaded or otherwise, is pretty strong evidence.


Of course I'm going on the assumption that your story isn't all made up. :D

Someone should put a countdown into every gun thread for this response to pop up. Since a 9mm is not a "real" gun I'd assume that you would stare down a 9mm with quick action pull and a 15 shot clip full of Hydra-Shok shells without fear, I mean, you'd prolly just laugh off such a measly attempt to harm you..correct? :winkwink:

and for the record, less recoil (from a smaller caliber weapon) = More accuracy in close combat situations, a 9mm slug to the head is just as deadly as a 50. cal from a DE only without the massive weight, recoil, etc. Go get a tiny penis hand cannon and get into an urban warfare environment, see how long you last.

You can have 5 accurate shots off in the time of dealing with the recoil on a desert eagle from the first shot.

5 shots all in the chest form a 9 VS 1 big hole from a big cal... the 5 shots in random places is far more deadly. By time you account for fragmenting from hitting bone and other things 9 all the way baby
