Epass virtual visa accepted anywhere?

Is the epassporte virtual visa suppose to be able to work ANYWHERE that takes visa online?

I just tried 4 places and only 1 worked

from epassporte.com:
Use your Visa Virtual Account to make purchases where Visa is accepted online.

Thoughts?

There's no address verification with epass virtual visa cards as far as I know. And most online merchants attempt address verification for security/fraud purposes.

Some place need your address to be in the same location/country as your credit card. In this case epassporte's virtual visa. So it will work at some places and not at others. Unfortunately for most of us it won't work at all the places that require the card issuing country to be the same as the one we live in.

this is why it doesn't work at many places.

ya, it's a pain is the ass for sure. There are no many places that I'd like to use my Virtual Visa but I can't due to what I mentioned above. In your case it's a good thing that they accept paypal.

Fewer and fewer companies seem to accept Epassporte Virtual Visa numbers unfortunately...

The bad thing is if you try to make a big purchase and it doesn't go through, it ties up the amount of the authorization for 30 days. So if you tried to make a $500 purchase and it fails, that money is unavailable, usually for a month.

I found all my on-line utility bills take it (phone, gas, electric) so I just use it for that.
