Obama victory means you need to change your $$

Ok, so now we know who's the next prez. It means time to change your investment profile... get rid of all Bush/Cheney friendly stocks like oil and insurance and invest in infractures and green energy company. I'm betting the next 4 yrs oil will go lower and lower. So get your investment profile change.

What other Obama/Biden friendly stock you can think of?

Nicky 11-04-2008 10:50 PM

Something to do with health maybe?

xxxdesign-net 11-04-2008 10:52 PM

PaulyPorn 11-04-2008 10:53 PM

Not sure about that but I think everyone should take a look at their investment funds and get rid of Bushy's stocks... I notice some of my mutual funds hold big oil company, I'm going to move my money to another fund.

notoldschool 11-04-2008 10:53 PM

I would recommend non US based companies as the business environment in the US is likely to be much more difficult.

clickyclick 11-04-2008 10:58 PM

I'm shorting all oil companies, they definately will sink!

Bush just told GM to take a hike when they asked for government money.

Obama on the other hand desires to help US auto makers retool.

bhutocracy 11-05-2008 02:20 AM

Yes please, go short on oil.. Because oil's going to go down because Bush is out of office....
Holy fuck.. Sometimes it just amazes me that people don't do even a modicum of research before vomiting up the first thing that pops into their brains.

If you've thought about things enough to think about investing in alt energy.. which IS a good idea.. I don't know how the leap is made that oil will go down.. As though they're competing against each other... As though Bush made oil jump up in price in the first place..

You should not invest in the US if you want the highest yield.

blazin 11-05-2008 03:06 AM

Invest in solar if you want to make money in the Obama administration.
There is still a lot of good value in some of the chinese solars especially.

My favourites are LDK Solar, Renesola & Suntech Power.

What do you think of nanosolar? I'm hesitent to invest in anything to do with current production technologies. I kind of don't want to put any kind of long term investment into expensive silicon based technology when they'll be printing it in a few years and solar panels will just be your windows or the whole roof of your house as they're combined with the actual building materials in a cost effective process. I've been in Dyesol, a similar non US company.

It has yet to IPO, so there is no investment opportunity yet.

They have also yet to be able scale production and have perfected only one part of the manufacturing process so far.

I think their is room for a lot of technologies and with the poly plants going up around the world I think that silicon will get cheaper and will be with us for some time... it is still far more efficient.
The likes of LDK solar will soon catch up with First Solar in terms of cost per watt and margins so that's where my money is for the next few years.

Invest quickly, earnings season for solar is upon us and they have already started to rally the past week (masssively) and contrary to what those bozos on CNBC say this is because of Obamas chances of winning.

Today will be an interesting day for the solar stocks... Looking forward to the action :thumbsup

well i think if it, where can i invest my $$

pornguy 11-05-2008 06:26 AM

I think you may want to wait and see what starts to inch up before you go wild with moving money.

Just because he said he would wile running does not mean that he will do it now.

You may want to wait to buy some Obama's stock, but not wait to sell Bushy's stocks like oil and insurance should be something you should get rid of by now.
