No kidding man. Just old red neck bigots.

aico 11-04-2008 09:32 PM

I thought it was a little ironic that a POW said he'll never surrender.

qxm 11-04-2008 09:32 PM

the best speech I have heard from McCain ..... very lil irony and even cared to stop the crowd when they were starting to booo....

Agreed, some boo'd during McCain's speech... was a great speech by McCain, he's got my respect again :2 cents:

tony286 11-04-2008 09:35 PM

His speech was good and I felt for him but him and palin got all these people all wound up. Now if he thinks he is going to say a few words and now they will be fine. He is sadly mistaken this falls on his shoulders. If he wanted to win he should of had more of a plan then saying obama sucks.

Fletch XXX 11-04-2008 09:36 PM

just because he teared you guys up with a fucking speech wont change he is a piece of shit, he didnt even write the speech LOL

media 11-04-2008 09:36 PM

Yeah, McCain supporters booing and shouting at concession is uncalled for. Give respect where respect is due even if your vote did not declare your choice the winner..

Like he said, its not the voters failure, it is his failure.. That is the way to man the fuck up..

A truly momentus day for all of us. I hope our future is brighter because of it..

He did say "my friends" once that I heard.

See, his problem besides obviously picking Palin is he wasn't doing THIS kind of speech at ALL in his campaign until maybe earlier today. Wayyy too focused on attacking Obama, which is of course why so many boos in the crowd too which was unfortunate.

mikesouth 11-04-2008 09:41 PM

he lost whenn he picked palin

rayadp05 11-04-2008 09:43 PM

John McCain gave a very good speech. However, I am glad that Obama won! :thumbsup

notoldschool 11-04-2008 09:44 PM

Not much of a diverse crowd for this one. They werent his supporters, they were Palin crazies.

collegeboobies 11-04-2008 09:45 PM

actually i would mostly blame people like Karl Rove. And McCains failure was to listen to them cause he might have believed that if they got an idiot like Bush in the White House their strategy would work for him too. i guess at the end McCain was just a puppet without him even noticing.

You make a good point there bud- His handlers ran a terrible campaign...The McCain I saw speak tonight was the guy I knew and liked...I felt he was honest and sincere....I dont think he was ever true to himself during this campaign....so scripted and false seeming...Its over now and I am glad he conceeded with class....

pigman 11-04-2008 09:54 PM

If you look at McCain's crowd you mostly saw rich white guys with their 5 children families.

Yes and they can afford their 5 children. They do not rely on welfare to take care of them. :2 cents:

Yes, and looking at Obama's crowd now they are so diverse, all age and race.

my opinion of him is simple:

two weeks ago he was trying to tell us barack Obama was a possible terrorist with links to terrorists that plan to blow up the Pentagon.

Today he puts his tail between his legs and says he will follow Obama as President.

I dont forget that shit that easily. The guy is as dirty as they come and I have NO respect for him after his campaign. He could start donating to PETA and legalize weed and i wouldnt piss on him if he was on fire

JC-OCCash 11-04-2008 10:07 PM

OBAMA'S Speech was very moving.....I am gonna approach the next 4 years with a re-newed sense of optimism....I just hope everyone puts the partisan bitterness aside....:2 cents:

Bitterness because I dont change my opinion of someone because of a pre-written speech? LOL What do I have to be bitter about? My candidate won! We won!

I am not bitter, I am happy, not bitter at all. I just wont forget the way he tried to connect Obama to terrorism.

Maybe you can, I will never. That is as dirty as you can get, and if you hold that against me, it carries no weight on my back thats for sure.

CarlosTheGaucho 11-04-2008 11:50 PM

I agree that McCain was not a bad choice and probably suffered badly from the negative / Alaska pussy power campaign.

Obama is the best speaker I've seen in a long time in any part of politics, he should also have a gift to choose the right people as reported, let's hope he'll confirm that in the White House too.

Now a unity and support is needed from all the sides and every corner of the country, noone needs more idiocy and fighting.

I honestly don't think McCain can win even if he didn't pick Palin. Without her I'm sure the race will be a lot closer but he still loose. After 8 horrible years of Bush anyone can get elected including dog if he's running for president.

Well Bush's shade and the biggest financial crisis in the past 80 years sure didn't helped him either..

atom 11-05-2008 12:12 AM

geeze, al franken supporters started throwing their drinks at the local newscast here when they declared norm the winner.

crazies on both side of the fence people and whoever shows up at either rally is one of them. for the record i voted nader because i thought mccain/obama both sucked ass and its my right vote. we need more than a 2 party system in this country.
