To the All The GFY Eurotrash America Bashers

do you see what I see? morons - still the NUMBER ONE country on the planet - a country that can re-invent itself on the fly. Whether Obama turns out to be a great president or a failure - that's not the point - ANYTHING is possible in America - a country with the stain of slavery on its hands - in historical terms 150 years is a short time - where's your black president or prime minister? the next time it will be a woman, it will be a Jew, it will be an Italian, it can and will be anybody because ANYTHING is possible.

BRAVO AMERICA BRA-FUCKING- VO!

CamTraffic 11-04-2008 09:14 PM

What has it got to do with us "eurotrash" to do? Its all we hoped for lol.

cykoe6 11-04-2008 09:17 PM

It will be a long time before we see a black man with a name like Barack Hussien chosen as Prime Minister of the UK, President of France or Chancellor of Germany.

ummm... european countries are WAY ahead of us when it comes to having non white males as the head of state.

There is nothing special about this country unless we MAKE it special. To think that this particular patch of ground is any more holy or sacred than any other patch of ground is ridiculous and medieval.

I recently heard about the CEO of Deutsche Bank who was asked if he thought America would be a super power in 20 years. He answered, "yes, of course". When asked why when even some Americans don't think so he replied that it's because of the culture. In America, every child born into any social or economic class feels they have a shot to be whatever they want. In fact, children are EXPTECTED to do better than their parents and rise above the circumstances they were born into. Some other countries have this belief, but nowhere else is it such a part of the culture as it is in America. Think about it, our favorite stories are the ones where someone comes from the lowest of classes to rise above and become a huge success. We actually discount stories of people being born into upper class who achieve success.

That's what makes America the center of innovation in technology, culture, and business and will continue to do so.

Barack Obama doesn't need to save the country, the American people can do all the heavy lifting. All he has to do is create an environment where Americans can succeed and the people will do the rest.

tony286 11-04-2008 09:46 PM

I think he will be one of the greatest presidents this country ever had.

dig420 11-04-2008 09:47 PM

No. For the last eight years we've watched TRUE bootstrap stories like Clinton and Obama vilified as un-American and not patriotic enough, untrustworthy, while silver spoon underachievers like Bush strut around like a cowboy straight off the range waving the fucking flag around like they own it. It's no wonder that we've gotten such a bad reputation globally with so much of our population taken in by such obvious and blatant hypocrisy and dishonesty.

We needed new leadership in every way, desperately.

besides the several women over the last 30 years, starting with Margret Thatcher (although she hardly counts as woman) just look at Sarkozy:

Quote:

Nicolas Sarkozy is the son of a Hungarian immigrant father, Pál Sárközy de Nagy-Bócsa[5] and a mother of French Catholic and Greek Jewish[6] descent, Andrée Mallah. His Greek-born grandfather, Benico Mallah (former Aaron Mallah), was a physician from Thessaloniki. Benico, who left for France to become a doctor, was the son of Mordechai Mallah, one of the eight sons of Aaron Mallah, founder of the Rabbinical School of Thessaloniki.[7]

Yeah pretty much. Swedes gave Obama about 75% of their votes, 20% were undecided, and 5% "voted" for Mccain.

you left out the jewish part.

but you probably also realize that the percentage of black people in Europe is low and that they are mostly refugees that came within the last 30 years. not to compare with the 200 years of black people in the US. or maybe you overlooked that there are already quite a couple of high ranking politicians of turkish descent in Germany for example. but i guess you have more fun with your typical trolling around than investing 15 minutes in putting some real information together :2 cents:

While I have to give credit where credit is due, and today is historic, I have to chime and and remind you that Africa had slaves for 1000s of years and today has plenty of black leaders.

You may be right, but in 200 years to become the only super power on Earth, I think that's a pretty good start.

But America is the center of business, innovation, and culture, you just can't argue that. Look at all the life changing technologies of the past few decades, all from America. Even foreign scientists and dreamers know that if they want to realize their dreams, they come to America. The computer revolution, mobile phones, the internet, GPS technology, all those things were born and developed in America. Not to even mention medical technology.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm no flag waiving patriot. I'm as critical of America as anybody. But the facts speak for themselves. The world runs on American innovation.

Not all of Europe is idealistic. But take a short trip to a place like Switzerland, the trash of the USA/Australia (which I love) just really really doesn't even compare. On another level.

you are fucking delusional and apparently believe the stories you one-sided press feeds you. I guess its a result of US having some of least knowledgeable graduated student in the western world.

We dont give a fuck if your president is white or black, we crossed that bridge here in europe about 150 years ago. Even Pakistan - a MUSLIM nation - have had female leaders. They even take better care of their old and sick. So there you are .. you think you are aheah, but in reality you are 20 years behind nations like Pakistan. Congrats to the winners

Do you know why people hate the US? because of stupid lazy clueless fucking American fuckups like you

America offers the best environment for research and innovation for the scientists from all around the world - no doubt about it, these are the things that definitely matter in the long term.

Gonna be pretty hard to do away with them, since they have literally owned the country since 1933. But the US aren't alone in that case. The same have been replicated and implemented here in most of Europe
