Why can't google customer service give out their names?
 

I found that really strange today, when I said "thank you for your help whats was your name again" and the guy said "I'm a google rep, we are not allowed to give out our names, company policy"

Never heard that before, weird. Sounded like some mafia stuff.

google technology has so much potential economic power in the world nowadays, imagine the money that can be made with the insider knowledge that some of the engineers possess.... or imagine what it would be like to be able to see the internal documents explaining some of the intricacies of their algorithm

They don't want some insane Internet person to find where they live and slaughter their kids and wear their wife's skin? They know their demographic better than you think they do!

Weird. I never noticed in the past. I have a account rep who does have a name. Not sure if it's a fake one or not but I know their first name.

because they refuse to make up fake names like all the other outsourcing services. I love the pakistanis that tell me there name is bob or scott. fucking hilarious

probably because they only use droids, and they just have numbers.

So they should give them 'phone names'. When I was a travel agent we all used names that weren't our real names. For years even the people I worked with called me 'Grace' which is kind of funny to me now.
