BLACK PANTHERS INTIMIDATING VOTERS IN PHILADELPHIA (vid)

- Jesus Christ - 11-04-2008 02:12 PM

Q: Why do these morons deserve national news attention?

A: They don't, its an attempt to play on the racism of white voters.

pornguy 11-04-2008 02:15 PM

Does not surprise me at all.

Fletch XXX 11-04-2008 02:16 PM

There should not be NEW black panthers stationed outside of polling places in my opinion. The original Black panther party has long been disolved, the new breed is just after violence.

Seriously, even the original Black panthers have denounced these new league of thugs.

This is a black separatist group, just like the KKK is a white separatist group. Would it be okay for the Klan to gather outside a polling place?

Both groups are legal in this country, but that does not mean they can stand guard at polling places.

In fact, my polling place had huge "STOP" sign type of posters up that prohibited (by state law) any campaign literature and you cannot campaign for your guy there. These guys would be arrested if they were 600 feet from where I voted.

Having NEW Black Panthers standing at the entrance to a public building, does not send the right message to voters. And in fact, is definitely voter intimidation. No different than if the KKK had people standing outside of polling places in parts of Florida.

1. It was sarcasm...
2. With their biased slant towards all things political I wouldn't really put it past them...
3. They are already planting their views as news about Obama winning through voter fraud, etc. Just wait and see how crazy they go after Obama wins.
4. I haven't seen this on any other news source, tv or internet, other than on Fox News.
5. I don't blame you for liking Fox News... Most Republicans do.

What makes you think I'm a Republican? A person that has a different opinion than you, is automatically a Republican?

Your reasoning, doesn't sound Democratic or Republican here, sounds like something else:2 cents:

Why do people assume they are "Black Panthers"?

Or Rather why were these two guys reported as BLack Panthers?
Are they Actually BLack Panthers?

I didn't say it was okay. I thought it was funny. They were both idiots :1orglaugh The freak show gets better and better. I guess you could compare it to the police standing in front of polling places to intimidate black voters.

I agree. Some of the people on this thread are just blind with partisanship. The old "my side can do no wrong" mentality. If the tables were turned, they would be the first ones complaining. I am shocked that people do not think men blocking the entrance to a polling station while holding a weapon is a big deal. The color of their skin is not relevant. Hells Angels would be just as intimidating.

Black Panthers intimidate voters at polling places
http://www.axcessnews.com/uploads/Im...ate_voters.jpg
Black Panther Party leaders encouraged the intimidation of white voters Tuesday, saying they were suppressing blacks from voting for Obama.

By Alan Fein

(AXcess News) New York - In a well-organized attempt to intimidate voters Tuesday, groups of radical New Black Panther Party members were reportedly stationed outside of polling stations brandishing night sticks, claiming that whites were suppressing black votes.

New Black Panther Party Field Marshall Najee Muhammad was quoted by the Jackson Sun newspaper as saying, "We will not allow some racists and other angry whites, who are upset over an impending Barack Obama presidential victory, to intimidate blacks at the polls."

"Most certainly, we cannot allow these racist forces to slaughter our babies or commit other acts of violence against the black population, nor our black president." Muhammad added, "We must organize to counter and neutralize these threats using all means at our disposal."

So far no reported arrests have been made, though just how much affect threatening black radical groups will have on scaring white voters away from the polls at this stage is anybody's guess, though voter registration requires voters to vote at the appropriately designated precinct.

Police have not interfered with the radical group claiming affiliation to the Black Panthers who've taken up positions outside of polling stations, though so far, no violence has erupted to warrant their arrests.

The Black Panthers themselves say "there is no Black Panther Party" and have distanced themselves from the radical splinter group.

I think it would be pretty cool to stick KKK members with BLack Panther Members in a Arena and give them each a night stick then televise the hatred between those two groups trying to kill each other.

Racism is old school fears.
I am a racist though:) My Race is better than your race and thats just how it is. Racism is something in itself something to make fun of.

This might not be that far off. If some redneck white supremist puts a bullet in Obama..?? Let's just say the fallout will make the L.A. Riots look like a joke.....

Are people really afraid of black men in costumes with sticks? You're kidding me, right.

DAMNMAN 11-04-2008 04:32 PM

Well, these guys are not helping Obama as they may think they are. At most they gave Rush Limburger something to talk about today.

As seen in the video they had to call in the repulican guy from out of town.
If Obama gets elected it's not black people that put him in office. It's everybody including a huge percentage of crackers.
Most of us crackers have tried our best to kick racism to the curb.
I still like and use the word cracker for some unknown reason.

NinjaSteve 11-04-2008 04:32 PM

Fletch XXX 11-04-2008 04:33 PM

you guys seem to be missing the point, THEY ANNOUNCED THEMSELVES AS SECURITY, while holding a weapon. Billy club, nightstick, whatever.

Who cares what they are wearing, they are NOT SECURITY! You cannot just go around claiming you are security at public voting places.

get a clue

_Richard_ 11-04-2008 04:40 PM

anyone standing outside a polling station wearing uniforms and armed with clubs should be taken down. i'm surprised those guys waited for the cops

Who's missing the point? The cops came and got rid of them. No one is defending them, but this is almost a non event. They are not relevant and are going to have ZERO effect on the election outcome.

you are incorrect, actually one of them is a POLL WORKER! And was allowed to stay!

Quote:

"Dischell confirms that there were in fact two black panthers guarding the polling place, a nursing home on Fairmont Avenue in north Philadelphia, earlier this morning.

But she says one was an officially designated poll watcher (it was not immediately clear which municipal office had designated him in that role), and the second was his friend. The second panther, who left two or three hours ago, was the one with the nightstick, she says."
http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpoi...cene_dispu.php

Id say you are clearly missing the point, if you do not see something wrong with poll workers intimidating voters in Black Panther attire while tapping a nightstick in their hand and identifying themselves as security.

- Jesus Christ - 11-04-2008 05:09 PM

Yea I'm sorry... only 1 of them was removed. (the one with the nightstick) I only watched the vid once when it was first posted a while ago.

No I'm not missing the point. I think they are morons and both should have been removed as I said in the first response to this thread. I just don't see it as a major news story.
