Within a few hours Sarah Palin will question Obama's dedication to family because he continues to campaign.

Its shame she couldn't of held on a bit longer to see him be elected. What a stressful time it must be for Obama. I don't see what kind of effect it would have on the election.

Nah I don't see that happening.

It shows that it's fate....It's Obama's Manifest Destiny to win.

stickyfingerz 11-03-2008 03:04 PM

She died early this morning sometime. Obama found out 8am this morning, but not sure which time zone.

I don't know about all that.

Blazed 11-03-2008 03:05 PM

Shows how desperate the obama camp are, this was clearly planned.

Enemator 11-03-2008 03:08 PM

I do believe it can work in his advantage because people will see that even in event of personal hard times he will not let the people down.

stickyfingerz 11-03-2008 04:05 PM

Better bump mine up to the late news people... :winkwink:

Probably no impact. He went and saw her last week and I assumed he knew she only had a few days left. For those who have lost someone to cancer, the final moment is in some ways a relief as it's tough seeing someone you care about in that much pain.

Been there several times. My grandfather they amputated both legs trying to save him, and I wish they would of just left him be.

StuartD 11-03-2008 04:10 PM

If it has any effect than I'll be even more disgusted with many American voters than I already am.
Feel remorse, sure... change your opinion of him as president for better or worse? no

seeandsee 11-03-2008 04:11 PM

don't forget he had visit to grandma, so win is near

If McCain is retarded enough to keep bashing Obama is WILL have an impact. I know if I was on the fence I would find it in very poor taste to bash someone who had a close relative just die just to win some stupid election.

The race is over. A lot of people have voted early, polls are still in his favor by big numbers. I just don't think it matters anymore.

mynameisjim 11-03-2008 04:16 PM

I feel bad that his mom nor his grandmother got to see him succeed, if he does tomorrow.

I guess if anything it could have a marginally positive effect. People who are on the fence because they don't "trust" Obama may see him as more of a real person. But I doubt it will have any measurable effect.

Khulan 11-03-2008 05:03 PM

There is no effect on election. He will be winning without any doubt tomorrow. Go Obama!

brassmonkey 11-03-2008 05:10 PM

vote OBAMA '08

germ 11-03-2008 05:14 PM

I cant see it having any REAL affect on the election. I think most everyone has made up their mind at this point and something totally unrelated to politics isnt going to change their decision.

Thats sad. My grandmother and father are both currently battling various forms of cancer. My dad has made it very clear that if things get that bad for him, he just wants to go. My grandma, however, doesnt feel that way. Its the worst decision anyone ever has to make, I think.

Wizzo 11-03-2008 05:17 PM

Unless Obama gets caught smoking crack with hookers tonight the stage is set and don't think any outside factors will effect what is going to be the outcome tomorrow no matter what it is.

I think her seeing all the lies and bullshit thrown at her grandson was too much.
She just didn't want to live through the fall out of the election.

As far as she's concerned her baby won and no need to hang around listening
to trash being slung anymore.

tehHinjew 11-03-2008 05:21 PM
