Hello.. I have a bit of foreign traffic.. specifically Chinese.. (like 50k hits/day).. and German (30k~ hits). I need to send them to pay sites that are in Chinese and German languages, respectively.. plz respond if you know of any..

i don't think there is 20 credit cards in all of China, and 18 of them are in the US embasy.

I beg to differ. The stigma that the Chinese don't have credit cards is untrue. But before I dispel that common misconception, let me say something else. In Hong Kong and Taiwan credit cards are very common. Citibank, Bank of China and HSBC all issue Visa cards. JCB cards are also very common in all parts of Asia. Ok.. now on to China. A Chinese bank (Not sure of name) first issued credit cards in circa 1985. The card was called "The Great Wall Card" and grew rapidly in popularity. In 1989 the bank became a member of Visa. Since then, and especially since 1997 or so, credit card usage in China has grown VERY rapidly. Prospects of entry into the WTO caused the government to seriously reevaulate China's economic and fiscal goals. Specifically, a goal was established to have 200,000,000 (200M) credit cards issued in China by 2005. Presently, there are a bit less than 75,000,000 (75M) cards in circulation. (I got this figure from an Asian Studies political science journal.. I would tell you the reference if I remembered it). In Chinese cities, its sort of the fad to have a credit card. Cards are readily accepted at all stores in major cities. If there are any Chinese webmasters on here, please clarify this. Although the Journal of Asian Studies is a pretty accurate source, anything written in it tends to have a Western, forward-looking tone to it, to insinuate a sense of bullishness in regards to foreign capital investment, etc.

So.. basically, what I'm saying is that there's plenty of $ in Asian porn.. better to send traffic to it than let it go to waste...

The question is not only how many credit cards exist in China.
I live in Brazil, VISA always boasts about how many Brazilians have cards (more than most European countries), but I know for a fact that Brazilians don´t buy porn online (at least, not enough to justify the investments).

Some more relevant questions are:
- do Chinese have money to spend in porn? It seems that either they are very poor, and can´t afford porn online, or they are very rich, and then they can afford the real thing.:Graucho
- are they used to buying over the web with credit cards? If many Europeans don´t feel comfortable in buying from virtual shops, imagine Xang Xing having to explain to the Communist Party why he bought a membership from AnalBustyShemales.com
- do the CC processors accept Chinese cards ? I use my card to pay for hosting, content, etc, but most of times Ibill refuses selling me memberships


I used to run a Brazilian site which used to get a few thousands hits/day, all from yahoo.com.br, msn.com.br, etc. After a few months without any sale, I stopped updating the site, and now I use it for PageRank purposes only
