As some of you may know, I had a near-death experience over this weekend in a car accident between Toronto-Montreal in my car w/Becky from PlatinumBucks. I have spent the last few days simply appreciating the smaller things in life and have decided to take some much needed time off. In light of recent events, I wanted to simply thank everyone I know for everything in life, whether it be business related or simply being a friend, I wanted to personally thank you for everything you've done for me and/or my business.
Thank You.
Sincerely, Charles

Send our best to all parties.:)

That's good they survived.

If he had a near death experience, doesn't that mean you are almost really dead? As in, not on email by tuesday?

I feel for them and hope they are okay though.

best wishes to wiredguy2000 and fast recovery from the whole event.

I can only imagine how they must feel.....

About five years ago I was following a mini van on the freeway. The minvan burst a tire, and cut across the median - Into oncoming traffic. The minivan hit four cars, flipped over, and instantly caught fire. Myself and a few others were able to get two teens out through the back window. Two other teens burned to death right in front me. I swear I'll never forget their screams.

Glad to hear you two are okay.

im a sick guy.

whenever im sitting in traffic coming back from the office depending on how long the wait is, im always hoping its a big accident, or someone died. i mean seriously, to make us wait that fuckin long someones gotta die!

not saying i wish death upon anyone in particular. but i do like to see the cars all mashed up on the side of the road. maybe its my NYC view on life and people fucking up.

Thanks everyone, especially Snow for posting this. Your a great guy my friend, and thanks to everyone for your concerns and cares. I'll be taking some time off so I won't be around too much but I'll always be an ICQ away for most people.

I hear ya. I was a paramedic / fireman for 5 or so years before getting into computers which turned into porn :)

Some of the things I have seen and dealt with will fuck with your mind severely. My first accident scene was 8 people in a cargo van coming down the hill from Las Cruces NM going towards Alamagordo. The van flipped over, when I got there it looked like a bomb went off.

We had decapitations, severed limbs etc., we managed to save 3 of the 8. They can be gruesome scenes for sure and not something you can easily forget.

Good luck getting back on your feet and enjoy your time off WG!

Andy

What exactly happened?

Basically what happened was Becky and I were going to Karl's Halloween party (from Gamma) and around Kingston a blizzard hit so I slowed down. Then this pickup totally cut us off and i basically lost control of the car. I was in all the lanes on the highway (401 E) and eventually did a 180 and was facing traffic. I basically saw there was no chance in recovery and tried to align the car for a side impact with the median to avoid an explosion (it was fully fueled at the time). So when the car was facing traffic I hit the hand brake and the car slid right into the concrete median. Anyways, at the end of the whole thing, my car was facing traffic and right up against the median.

I honestly could not believe we walked out of the car without a scratch on us and was just so happy realizing how much worse it would have been if the car hit the median on the rear or the front.

Either way, after seeing my life flash before my eyes, I decided I'm definitely taking some time off to simply appreciate the beauty of life.

Praise Jesus.

I have, many times. It's not every day you walk out of an accident like this untouched.
