Aside from some Alvin and the chipmunks 45's or some Disney 45's. The first record I purchased as a kid with my own money, at a flea market actually. AC/DC Dirty deeds done dirt cheap when I was about 10-11 years old or so.

I saw them in concert back in the 80's with 999.

shit i cant remember what was my first. 10,000 records later I'm wishing they weighed less. when i move it sucks.

believe it or not, that first chord the song starts with was only very recently discovered. Because there was a 12 string and a 6 string involved, a lot of musicians tryed using the same and similar guitars to replicate that chord but failed. I guess they realized that there is also a keyboard in that chord playing the F note which would be impossible to play with the other notes in the chord, making it very difficult to ID :)

I had a crush on Leslie Dana in 5th grade and she was totally into Kiss so I had to go out and get their latest: Kiss-Love Gun.

Those were the days when record stores were also head shops, and when people knew what head shop meant,lol.

It was quite a memorable event. My buddy and I hitchhiked to SD from here. It was a festival style seating, and since Randy was the type of guy you just naturally stepped aside for, we were up front in no time.

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon. Steely Dan was the lead act. Show Biz Kids rocked.

Elton John came up with purple dye on the sides and big sunglasses. We wondered what was up.

During Saturday Nights All Right for Fighting he handed out bottles of Elderberry wine. He gave me one. I took a hit, Randy took a hit and passed it on. It was never seen again.

Was a great show, but on the way home a discussion did center around, "do you think he is gay?"

I have that too, and yep, it's stored away in the basement. :thumbsup

It wasn't the first record I bought though. I think mine was a double album from the Stones, their greatest hits.

I think I owned just about every K-tel record they ever put out though.:pimp
