It seems quite obvious that someone is trying to run those 2 website templates out of business.
Thinks about it, you hate someone, you start using one of those "email to 55 millions adresses" to email some stupid message such as those we all have received. You can bet that the poor bastard you targeted is going to be in a lot of shit.
It wouldn't surprise me if the MF who 's ruining those businesses is in the webdesign business.
About 6 months ago, I buy a webdesign for a travel site and agree on a $700 price tag (Home page + 20 content page), everything looks good and I'm happy. Last month I use one of those new template sites, the same websites that I paid $700 now cost me $38, sure I spend 20 hours working on it; but it was fun, I learned some new Photoshop tricks, I could show the new site and say "I did it" without lying too much and best of all I save $662.

I too have to wonder if it's someone trying to run them out of business.
