Who are the best designer on GFY bar none?
Please post the most professional top of the line designers on GFY without a doubt please,
like Dickmans or Adult Design or Blue Design, etc. I'm trying to compile a "once and for all" list of the most professional adult designers around here, and I know there are a few I'm missing. This includes smaller designers as long as their work is on par with the big boys, I know there are some underrated designers on here because I've used a few. I'm talking true perfection here. Thanks for the help folks, truly :thumbsup |
Exclude Akil (chronicavenger) from team 31 from that list if he is there. He is a turd.

you may try looking into my folio. At least i was nominated. See sig.
|
You can take a look at my site. Not the best by far..
|
Again,
looking for the best designers on GFY period, no questions asked, without a doubt. |
What is your idea of the best, post some samples.
People have different opinions on whats nice and whats not. |

Your stuff is as good and if not better than so many:thumbsup "Can we have Sex Now?":) |
There are a few good ones on here. Some have specialties that they outshine others in that particular area. Some have teams of people who can handle the bulk of requests they get. While others have a good range of skills that can work a larger scope by themselves. This question is nearly impossible to answer. It really depends on what you're looking for.

I have needed a single header designed -- very simplistic, minimal "light" font use, and a lightweight, fluid design... perhaps 150 pixels tall. This is something I can even do myself for how much effort is involved... I just have not the time. And I won't even get into some of the prices I have been quoted for what should be an hour's work - two at the most. What really surprised me, however, is that every person claimed they could deliver what I want, and of course, every single one wanted money upfront. After receiving the money, they have either disappeared, have not had the courtesy to communicate any updates, or have sent me mockups that are woefully inadequate -- and not even close to the directions or the examples I have shown. Heck, I even went so far as to make a PSD they could use as a general guideline and I still end up with something using oversized tacky fonts and colors -- certainly not professional quality. And I won't even get into trying to find a decent tgp site designer who won't come back with the run of the mill, cookie cutter circle jerk sites, complete with gaudy / tacky toon and oversized font -- and then actually want several hundred dollars for it for their overpriced cookie cutter. No thanks. The search continues. Thanks for starting this thread... I am quite serious to locate those who can deliver a level of professional quality, polished output and follow direction as requested without interjecting the usual tackiness I see on most portfolios. |
good luck. :)
there are tons of designers out there, I figure the hard part is finding one that doesn't suck or disappear. |
For tour design, I'll suggest Insane Adult Creations.
|
We only ask for payment after completion and we do not do run of the mill, cookie cutter sites. But then again, we are not full time designers as such.

Had you actually mentioned a job offer, or that you were looking to hire anyone, I certainly would not have expanded on my comments. No offense intended. Lighten up. |

Good Designers will always ask for at least 1/2 on start and 1/2 on completion and what you are getting at goes both ways. Not every client is a fucken gem and I got a nice list of people I keep vetted and on my do not do business with nor refer to other designers nor ever will list. |
this guy is a fucken idiot. spamming for "the best designers in the world" for the last who knows how many days now..
you've been shown samples of top notch stuff already in other threads yet you make another like an idiot.. if I was a designer i'd tell ya to go fuck yourself. |

Every designer wants paid up front. But they, in my experience as well, have followed the same behavior you mentioned. I have paid both the low, and high end of programmer and coders. The results were the same. Now, I typically will go to elance, scriptlance, rentacoder, or whatever. You have to spend the ungodly amount of time searching their previous work. But.... at least you do not pay up front. You escrow. If they do not deliver to specs, blow your deadlines, you do not pay. A simple, and fair system. There ARE a few good programmer and coders there. They typically run on the higher end of bids. But at least you know your money is safe, and you are not going to get ripped off. Just make sure you use people who have a LOT of reviews, and more importantly, reviews in the same type of work you are looking for. Zuzanna has done some work for me. I was happy with it. JamesK has done some installation, integration, and small coding projects for me. He is excellent, and I have used him a number of times now. He always gets it hammered out mang. woj is rumored to be one of the best. Never tried him. There are a few others that have come highly recommended. But.. on GFY, you are going to run into that 100% upfront before they lift a finger. I ran into this when looking for an affiliate program designer. They all wanted to work this way, and I refused. Offered escrow, they refused. Not all, but the one's I talked to. If you can't work under escrow terms, you, in fact are shady. Period. I flash you that I have the cash. You do your end of the bargain. Beware, and good luck hoss. |
am i included? :)

I'll throw my hat in though I currently do not have a portfolio site. I have been in house with SIC Cash and PimpRoll (both remotely) and more recently did a stint in house with AEBN. I have also done the mainstream thing and was the Creative Director for TrustSoft in Houston once upon a time.
I have been doing adult design since 1997 and have a solid client base and references. As I don't have a formal portfolio online I will save everyone the grief of posting link after link. Contact me directly for samples and pricing. |

Stellar, thanks for rating us as a top of the line designer :) I suppose i'll put in my 2 cents as a designer and how our team works. I wasn't aware that there are so many designers that are asking for 100% upfront payment before starting a project. If that is the case, then I would recommend staying away from these designers as that is a very unreasonable payment term. On the other hand, we do not deal with new clients that are unwilling to pay a 50% deposit, as Alienq stated, not all clients are gems when it comes to payment for completed work. For us, we only require new clients to pay the 50% deposit, just as a sign of security that they do have the finances available for the project. As for all recurring clients, the deposit is no longer required as there is already a mutual trust established. Now , obviously for the client, there is a risk involved when choosing the designer and paying the 50% deposit. So do a bit of research before choosing. Reputable design companies that have been around with a good portfolio, recommendations etc to back them up obviously are not going to take your 50% and run off. Designers that promise too much, offer a price too good to be true, are available to do your work right away, ask for 100% payment upfront, provide you a quote without even asking for exact details of what you require, etc etc... these are clear signs of designers to stay away from. Good designers should have the confidence to assure the client that their 50% deposit will be returned if the desired result is not achieved. Designs should be revised until the client is satisfied provided that the revisions are reasonable. For example, if a client says yes, yes yes to your initial previews and then suddenly change their mind completely, then that would be unreasonable, and the deposit should not be returned. But if the client was not happy with the results from the start, then the deposit should be returned without question. From our 5+ years of experience, out of hundreds of clients, we've also had a few that we've had to do quite a lot of revisions up to the stage where we agreed to mutually stop the project , return the deposit and end the transaction respectfully. This way, there are no hard feelings and both parties move on. I have heard from clients that lots of designers are unwilling to refund this deposit, so this is something they will need to agree on at the start. Damn, that's prob the longest post i've ever written. And i'm usually only on GFY for a minute or two. |
So far, not a single great designer or design studio has been posted in this thread.
Just amateurs. |
bump for some real portfolios or site samples to be posted.
