What's the prob with the PST file?

Motherfuckers! This is the umpteenth time Outlook has broken. Why? Probably because I use the fucking thing all the time. So what I have 7000 items in my different folders. Fuck them, the SCANPST.EXE repair program doesn't work for shit.

While I use Outlook 2000, and prefer it over Eudora, only because it's what I'm used to, the concept of a single pst file makes outlook get bloated very easily. Hell, my .pst file is almost 150 MBs (but then, I'm quite the packrat :)

That's the nice thing about being a Mac person. Both kinds of computer screw up, but Microsoft has more "Quality" engineers than Apple has total programming staff... Yet who has more bugs? Go on, admit it. ;)

I still use Nutscape 4.7x for my email and it works great... IE 6.x for browser 99% of the time... don't think I will ever use Outlook...:2 cents:

Don't even get me started on ridiculous misconceptions. :) Its all fine if its fun and games, but I might get going. Let's just say this... Windows people love to moan about how much crap Microsoft makes. So do Mac people... We just get a sense of Shadenfreude.

Actually...Outlook will work quite well for packrats and TONS of email usage...Key is to use it the way it was designed =)

Create a seperate PST file for each and every folder...The sluggishness will disappear and works alot better =)

I had all the same probs w/Outlook until I started doing this...Works great now!

Mozilla Mail is quite nice.

I think, all problem may be forgotten with using The Bat mail

That's why it has an archive function.. Use it and you won't have to worry about that.
Not that I ever have problems with it.. I've got over 30,000 emails in my two PST files. Still runs a dream.

Eudora is cool

You can set up a Eudora filter to play a sound when an email comes from a account.

I have it setup so that all emails that come in from signups it makes a cash register sound

I use Eudora.

The first version I ever tried was pretty scary but the one I have now is pretty straight up.

So what's the best e-mail client?

The thing I hate about Outlook, as a Eudora user, is when someone sends an attachment and all I get is a winmail.dat file, and then I need to start up Outlook myself and download the message again just to get the attachment! Why can't MS actually use a protocol the same way as everyone else?
