Say you were Obama's campaign manager...
how would you spin the fake attacker story?
Would you use it as a way of saying 'look at their tactics and what their side will resort to to besmirch my campaign and supporters" or would you shut up and let it slide? Think of this as a campaign manager and NOT as an adult webmaster or whatever your current personal views are... I would make a reference to it but not point it out too much as it could lead to a public backlash and look like a desperate ploy... What would you do? |
Obama --------------10ft pole-------------- Fake Attack
|
I wouldn't touch it. I'd let the media cover it and thats about it. Stay positive, stay above the fray, stay steady.
|
I wouldn't make a big deal out of it personally because it leaves him open to similar attacks. Just because it was a McCain supporter that perpetrated the fraud it does not mean that he himself had any direct knowledge or involvement. The action of an individual reflecting poorly on the campaign could be used as easily against Obama by someone looking to sabotage the last days leading up to election day. And although despicable I believe it should be viewed for what it is. An individual attempt and not an orchestrated plot. Regrettable for both parties but not necessarily a reflection of either.

Obama doesn't need to touch it. That's the difference between Obama's campaign and McCain's.

More wise words. |
I'd shut up about it or some of the non-hoax attacks would gain more exposure.
