wordpress 2.6.3 out
 

Just released, next month 2.7 will be out, I have been beta testing it for a while now, I must say the backend is pretty neat.

The 2.6.3 covers a low risk vulnerability in snoopy that is used to fetch the feeds shown on the dashboard.
You can upgrade or just install the patch if you want.

ya i use trunk and it's pretty sick.. there's noticable differences in almost every svn update i run a couple times a week..

I am starting to hate wordpress. The release cycles seem to get faster and faster.

Exactly... next week another minor release.... why can't they make it so it can run a cron and auto update itself. This is getting stupid. :2 cents:

I think updating a consistently vulnerable web app multiple times a week from trunk is a bad move bud.

I have a plugin I can use to update it. It isn't auto, as I have to enter my ftp info each time, but then again, I wouldn't want it to be auto, I don't think.

I agree. I dislike the idea of autopilot. People are error prone, and I don't want my sites to be at risk because of a bad commit, then me not notice right away.
