NATS & Carma or MPA3 & MAS
 

Which setup do you think is better and why? Tying to decide which way to go. Also, is there another option I should be considering?

NATS seems to be a popular choice with big successful paysites.

Depends on how much content do you want to push and how many concurrent visits do you plan to have in your members area.

NATS is ok for the affiliate/billing part.

On the members are CARMA and MAS are great if you don't push much content (lets say you cannot fill one server).
At the moment you fill more than one server a custom CMS solution becomes cheaper and more viable on the long run.

For starter CARMA is the best choice because of their price. In fact, you can start a paysite with a very good CMS like CARMA for less than $5000 (including the content and first month or two of server payment).

There are also free CMS solutions, but they need much more work to be managed and the $150 CARMA costs per month is well worth the extra hours you would spend managing a free CMS.

You could also look into www.elevatedx.com/ & www.paysitecms.com for the CMS solution. Both work with NATS and MAS.

I've used MAS on a seperate project, and thought it was a very good CMS.

For BOSBUCKS, we use NATS and CARMA. And very happy with the combo.
