Why do McCain and Palin want to bring up Rev. Wright?

Why in the world would these two want to bring up Obama's Pastor when Palin has a worse Pastor issue?

I mean this guy is just as bad, if not worse than Rev. Wright. This guy is a self professed witch hunter that scared a "witch" out of an african village.

2) Wrights position on everything is simply indefensible. Appropriate possibly for 1950. hardly appropriate for 2008. and the whole point of everything he did, his sermons and what he preached, his literature etc was exactly that... black separatist rhetoric

3) he has referred to him being his mentor many times. even in his book.

Mainstream media will not repeat over & over again the Sarah Palin nutcase church or her separatists ( secessionist ) association ... like they do not talk much about the voter fraud taking place in Virginia with the " defective " voting machines. They are all about substance.

You know the worst part about the McCain/Palin campaign is they aren't even going after the undecided voters. They just keep hashing out this attack stuff that only gives their hardcore right wingers wood.

These kinds of attacks that they keep doing don't do anything for the undecided voters but maybe turn them away if they have any common sense. The simple fact is McCain really doesn't have anything of substance so attacking and pandering to the base is all they have left. Hell half the people that would vote for McCain/Palin will likely think that makes Palin a "good" christian with a Pastor who casts away witchcraft.

The next week they go to Obama is a socialist. That didnt work.

It's degenerated into mostly outright lies now. The GOP today has been saying that Obama plans to give checks to people who dont pay taxes. That his 95% tax break for the middle class includes people who never work or pay taxes in the first place. McCain claimed it was 40%, lol.

When a reporter pointed out to a McCain campaign spokesperson today that Obama's plan has always said 95% of WORKING Americans which excludes any non-tax paying people, the McCain spokesperson said they simply dont BELIEVE Obama means "working americans" (even though he's never said anything but).

So they lie, and say they lie because they think Obama is just a liar.

Desperation is very unattractive.

If you're an Obama guy, who cares? The attacks aren't working and haven't even when they sprung up in the primary. We're in the worst financial crisis of our generation and people care about keeping their job or what they'll have when they retire. Sure the attacks will invigorate the Republican base, but that base has been shrinking a lot since 2004 and can't win him the election.

The guy's whole campaign has been self destructive, so just let him and his surrogates shoot their foot over and over again.

If you work, and lets say get a $3k tax return - it's because you OVER PAID in taxes.... Not because you magically don't have to pay at all.

At the end of the year, if I owe the IRS money it's because I didn't pay enough, if I get a check back, it's because I paid to much.

Either way, you me and every person in the middle/lower and almost all upper class, pay tax, period...
