Video Editors - What size when cutting?
 

Cutting up some new content and just wondering what most video editors are using for sizes when they are cutting for movie galleries? Any set size you like to stick to while keeping the size of the file down?

Size in what manner? Resolution, length, filesize, bitrate?

Just viewing size for the movies when they are displayed.

yeah man... it's kind of a vague question. IS it for MPG's? Is it for members movie galleries? And why would editors chop this shit up, when 99% of most program owners do it this process in house with simple splitters?

It's like asking a carpenter what kind of nail you need to hang a picture.

If you are editing from source use full size source during the editing process. Its like working in photoshop in that regard, you want the largest sample size you can get.

True, I was messing around cutting up videos for the first time. Grabbing largers images from members section and cutting up movies for my own movie galleries.

free galleries? 640 x ... , or 480 x ... depending on the quality you want to give

members galleries? 1280 x ... or 720 ...
