We're all getting a good laugh at this one.

It's true. Two of our highest level people are not here. They are in Curacao at the Island Gathering (or on their way back). Our CEO Joel is at Starbucks but he'll be back in a few minutes if anyone has any questions. :winkwink:

I love Mondays and stray gossip, don't you?

For the record, no senior member of Epoch's staff has gone anywhere in years. Including our CFO, CTO, and all the other three letter titles. In fact, we probably have more years of combined experience than any of our competitors. Nearly all of our senior employees have been with Epoch at least 8 years (and I've been here eleven). A tech named Peter is no longer here but he left a long time ago. I don't think he reads message boards.

With rising oil and gas prices, yes, Joel has been behind a push for telecommuting. We consider it a benefit for employees and it's worked out very well.

As for the analytics, well... you can theorize all you want but that's all it will ever be - theory. Anyone in the know realizes that these analytic services are only useful for self comparisons over time. Epoch's services are over multiple domains and can not be compared by using Epoch.com as the criteria. How do you play your cards, hmmm?

Anyway, all is well and whomever thought otherwise is invited come by our offices and say hello. We love every opportunity to show our company to our clients.

Cheers!

So silly with blatant rumors like this.

And fyi, I know Peter very well and he NEVER reads boards, just books. FYI

whatif_3 10-20-2008 01:22 PM

rand, i would not have posted this if it had not come from a credible source. aparently not all of it is true. maybe it started with the customer service working from home thing. very sorry about that.

I hate to say it but when I was in the office last week, all the furniture and shit was still there. Joel and Esther even bought me lunch at a really good Italian place.

CosmicTang 10-20-2008 05:23 PM

Was it Vito?

The Duck 10-20-2008 05:24 PM

I have not heard anything like this.

notoldschool 10-20-2008 05:29 PM

Im thinking that Epoch is doing quite well just knowing what I process with them alone. Im sure they are making a killing.

EXPORT 10-20-2008 05:32 PM

oh no dramas...great!

Well anyone who starts a thread with less than 200 posts has nothing but bad intentions.

stickyfingerz 10-20-2008 05:36 PM

Maybe Eric or Ice should edit that title me thinks. Enough people already scared to spend money in our industry, no need to induce more pocket tightening. :disgust

agree 100% some of my information was wrong, this thread should be deleted in fact

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-22-2008 01:06 PM

This is what I get for clicking a thread with under 200 posts by the starter.

Maybe GFY admins can create a threshold view options so that vet's can ignore and threads created by X number of posts as a minimum to be viewed in the thread list page.
