Sosa 10-20-2008 06:51 AM

The average person is probably using Dreamweaver

Dame 10-20-2008 06:51 AM

I use dreamweaver. I used to do it by hand way back when using notepad but dreamweaver makes it so much simpler these days.

seeandsee 10-20-2008 06:53 AM

frontpage

Bojangles 10-20-2008 06:57 AM

Most use dreamweaver.

campimp 10-20-2008 06:59 AM

i have been soley dreamweaver for 4 or 5 years, but the past few months a friend turned me onto microsoft expression and i think im going to stick to that from now on... its pretty nice

StariaDaniel 10-20-2008 07:07 AM

I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 for the rough and Notepad++ for the fine tuning - best way to keep it fast AND clean ...

tranza 10-20-2008 07:08 AM

It's probably Dreamweaver or Photoshop.

Unless you're a true coder and work with Notepad.

:2 cents:

HorseShit 10-20-2008 07:10 AM

nano all the way

fris 10-20-2008 08:36 AM

nano on a unix based server, and notepad++ on win32

You did say HTML so therefore dreamweaver beats out any of the real TEXT editors. Frontpage adds too much BS to your basic HTML editing.

the alchemist 10-20-2008 09:08 AM

nano on *nix and notepad++ on windows.

crockett 10-20-2008 09:12 AM

True coder my ass. Dreamweaver has a lot of features that save professional coders and designers a lot of time.

WhiplashDug 10-20-2008 09:22 AM

Dreamweaver. The CS3 version has a bunch of cool scripting setup that you can use with almost one-click ease. I haven't had a chance to test-drive the CS4 version yet - but see that it has some nice improvements, one of which is the ability to toggle between 'Live View' and 'Code View' within the application & it includes quite a bit of application resources for stuff like Ajax, Java, Jquery & Spry. There are also some PSD/Photoshop integrations.

CaptainHowdy 10-20-2008 09:24 AM

I like HTMLKit ...

darius19 10-20-2008 10:09 AM

dreamweaver

TommyM 10-20-2008 10:17 AM

I never used other things then Notepad - Notepad rocks!

chelo - adultcopywriters 10-20-2008 11:04 AM

My choice is Dreamweaver, Notepad doesn't even have line numbers, Kate or any other linux based editor is way better.

Nicky 10-20-2008 11:15 AM

Usually dreamweaver, used to do frontpage but it adds too much BS code.

Klen 10-20-2008 11:17 AM

Notepad++

martinsc 10-20-2008 11:21 AM

notepad++ :thumbsup

Calico Jack 10-20-2008 12:47 PM

Dreamweaver...been using it for years.

ungratefulninja 10-20-2008 01:08 PM

CuteHTML.. mostly just for color coded tags making it easier to read vs notepad.

SayWhut 10-20-2008 01:23 PM

I've used Front Page, Dreamweaver, Notepad++

CherryV 10-20-2008 01:33 PM

I use Programmers Notepad2 mostly for edits and such its pretty amazing little software.

Ahhh... be nice.
It's find and dandy turning out point+click HTML shit from a pretty GUI with nice popups and whatnot that prompt you on what to call your new DIV tag. Afterall, HTML is just putting together a chopped up static image, right, ala AlienQ? And in regard to the original poster, that's all that was asked.

In regard to some of the people mentioning a text editor of sorts, don't hate. Try and relate.

ExLust 10-20-2008 06:41 PM

Notepad++ and Dreamweaver.
