Yeah, I should just write my Congressman about it. LOL

No thanks, I don't want to be flagged as being a potential "Terrorist".

I am a firm believer in voting, especially on local issues. I still think it is key to pay attention to local politics and stop the little shits from getting elected and becoming even bigger shits. (issues and stuff aside, which also is easily done on local level.)

As for national level, yes I understand how it works. How the vote does and not not really count for the president due to the electoral college. Flip side, it does apply very much to congressmen, and senators.

Have you ever seen the film "Bush's Brain" about Rove & Bush? If not, it's worth a rental.

It's a documentary that follows Bush & Rove, throughout his Bush's entire career. Very creepy.

Depends where you live. In the swing states, every vote counts. In states like California, your vote does count, but does not matter, because the democratic candidate always wins.

Hm. How is it that we in California have many Republicans in office then- Congressmen, Governor, so forth?
I will presume you are talking strictly presidential then perhaps, with no state issues or other voting matters taken into consideration? Even then what makes a swing state a swing state? Could even California change into one if most of the voting Democrats stayed home or more of the Republicans showed up?

If a few thousand elderly jews in florida didn't accidently vote for Buccanan we'd have a very different world right now.

Local level.... yes.

National level... not really.

National level if you DON'T live in a battle ground state... not at all. Don't waste your time.
