Question about Smart Tube and Text script.
How much of a resource hog is it?
Those of you using it, if you could share any info on how much RAM and CPU it consumes I'd appreciate it. I wouldn't want to put it on a server that couldn't handle it and then have to move it after the fact. |
Bump for an answer ...
|
good question .. maybe the smart guys can answer.
|
Don't use it but bump for you.
|
i would suggest you to contact the sales guys from their website or from the forum > www.smart-scripts.com - their scripts are good and i was also considering buying the new tube script you mentioned.

Monday morning bump.
Gabrio, talking to the guys who are selling the script would be good, but even better IMO to talk to their customers. I think I'd get a much more candid answer that way. |

Another bump for this.
I believe they have specs on their site though as to the server size you'd expect to need to house this thing. They also have a forum on there and their ICQ's they usually respond to me when contacted. |

My script and konrads are the only scripts I know of that use query caching but looking over STXT I really don't see very many queries per page |
STXT doesnt do ANY database queries in realtime, so it doesnt matter what your traffic is, server will be busy just by serving static content.
