Is it just me or is this xites thing an extremely simple idea that's a couple years late? This is a simple perl script that simply mimic's anonymizer.com's service applied to porn. Fetch page, add banner, re-display page to surfer. What's supposed to be so fancy about this? Nice for TGP owners but is it that great? I don't think so.

Regarding legal issues, I think it should be fine so long as webmasters/tgp owners give permission to each other to add the xites code. The Google example they give really shouldn't be used since that is using a free service for profit and is a violation. But if permission is given between webmaster/tgp owner, there should be no problems.

what you have to consider is this will not be used in the method you stated...This program is gonna be used by webmasters to send the surfer to any site they wish, be it google, thehun, whatever...Thats the whole point of it...and altering the content of any copyrighted material witout the consent of the copyright holder is illegal. They are gonna use xite to send people all over, not just to the sites that are using xites on their site.

Hmm. What would a TGP owners use it for?
* PPC or other traffic brokers wont agree for that.
* Sponsors may not care too much (atleast not the ones that accept blind/exit/popup traffic) but some may - in anyway, why would it increase revenues in suce case where you can anyway open the sponsor in a new window.
* Sending traffic to traders that way is a VERY BAD idea if the traders are using a Referer based system (almost all CJ scripts, especially the populars) because they will not know where it came from - and will not send the TGP owner any traffic back.

The implementation of xites looks nicely done, maybe there are some bugs but I guess that will be perfected over time. Their site looks cool.

Only thing - I dont understand what it can be used for in porn. Who wants to send traffic to google/cnn/ebay/..? Can someone clear that point?
