Flash experts: is it possible to trace the mouse cursor when it's not on the .swf?

Calling all Flash experts!

Is it possible to track the movement of the cursor on a page with a .swf banner when the cursor is NOT on the banner itself?

It is trackable when on the banner (those pesky micro games in banners), but let's say that I entered a page and the banner would react to my actions (cursor movement)

Is that possible??

might be possible to do it with some javascript/ajax so that the javasctipt tracks the mouse and then flash picks up it's position via passed variables.

search through actionscript dot org thats where i always go for help with my crazy ideas lol
