Why is abortion a debate issue?

In most of Europe and other parts of the world abortion is something that is just accepted as part of womens rights.

RedShoe 10-15-2008 07:13 PM

yeah and in most parts of the world you can see tits on TV. We Americans like to do shit a little differently than the rest of the world.

Thank the Republicans.

L-Pink 10-15-2008 07:14 PM

Should be a "state" issue. As per the constitution and states rights.

I think you guys missed the real question.

notoldschool 10-15-2008 08:29 PM

Because the USA is like 90% Christian, and they like to force their beliefs on others.

tony286 10-15-2008 08:37 PM

its because they can get people to vote for him if they say they are against it. When you realize the right had the presidency, the congress ,the senate and they did nothing about it.its empty talk.

baddog 10-15-2008 08:43 PM

Confirmed. You guys let the real question sail right over your heads.

After Shock Media 10-15-2008 08:51 PM

Technically its is about Federal rights to force the states to keep it legal, or letting the states decide on its legality.

Though same people do not want such when it comes to say drug laws.
Then personally I feel it should be federally protected.

I do not understand this myself, I agree it should be the womens choice. I honestly, and I have tried... I can not understand why these people don't get that and why the care soooo much. If you don't know, these are the same group of people that are very much for the death penalty and war, which causes lots of death. I get it's the innocent dieing, but they say the killer makes a choice.. you know, I can keep going on, I just don't understand either.

TheDoc 10-15-2008 09:04 PM

And this it's a state issue bullshit, is really bullshit. States did decide, but once they started to go past the constitutional rights of people, the fed stepped in. Which is what should have happened.

States "must" respect the constitution and when they don't, it is the Feds job to correct it.

If you don't remember, if they reverse this law: If you get gang banged rapped, beaten half to death, aids, 20 other things fucked up with ya, and prego... your no choice having ass is spitting out that baby.

Ok.. maybe not that extreme, but it's pretty much no choice and 100% life without question, even if the mom dies, baby comes first.

That's why the States lost the RIGHT to make a choice on this decision.

Abortion is a debate issue because some people think it should be legal and other people think it should be illegal.

And that would be?

The Duck 10-16-2008 05:20 PM

If abortion was illegal because it is not right to take another persons life under any circumstance. Then that rule should be enforced on all life, no matter the age. If that was the case we could have no war, no death penalty and so on..

Hypocrisy!

It must be tough to deal with these issues as a woman in America (and any other place where abortion is a topic of great debate).
