Is there anyone here promoting porn sites for women?
Just curious...
|
im not but after starting a thread about this last week I am researching what women really want...so nina what would u like in a site that would make u whip out your cc?
|
yes .
|
i've heard it's an almost untapped market, but shortly thereafter i saw stats that showed what a small amount of women look for porn on the net... and if you think about it, why would they? they can get laid whenever they want... unlike men... (expect for me, of course ;-)) )

i fuck myself on cam so girls love to watch me

I mean it... Think its a overlooked market |
i have more than a few members that email us with 'my girl friend and i love this video' type of thing.
*shrug* |
I think there is a big sale waiting to be made... I want one.. Where do i buy the content?
|
http://www.cyber-dyke.net is my friend Zille's network of dark-ish sites for lesbians, and women in general. Very high quality stuff. She has a CCBill program, I believe.
You might also want to check out NakkidNerds.com, my friend Cloei. She does well with female traffic, much less of a guy-oriented site than most "porn". |
Labret is about to lanch kitchenbucks.com
make money while cooking :) |

I think the trouble would be in generating traffic. Are women gonna go to the big TGPs to look for that one in a thousand porn site geared towards them?
Or are their some tailored for women TGPs out there I don't know about? :eek7 |

A couple general observations from someone who has been in this business since before half you guys good legally look at porn...
I shoot porn and the girls I work with are, obviously, much more open about it than the average woman. I usually have a stack of men's magazines around for posing and makeup inspiration. The girls invariably gravitate to these and read them intently. They'd be happy to spend all day looking at girl pictures. However, I'd be willing to bet that almost none of these girls buy nudie magazines. If any of the pics are of couples having sex, the girls might comment on a guy being a hunk or having an unusual penis, but once again, no hint that they'd want to spend any money to see more of the pics. Online, these girls might cruise around to look at more girls but it would be rare for a girl to subscribe to a website. Generally, guys are more visual than girls. Guys use their imaginations yes and visual objects more for masturbation stimuli. Girls like sexy stories quite a bit, guys hardly at all. If you can figure out how to tap the female porn market, go ahead and do it. I personally don't see where there is much money to be made. |

This "niche" comes and then goes away every so often. CJ will chide me for saying it, but most women don't and won't pay for porn. That's a fact. We could get into a deep discussion about why that is, but it's been done a million times.
Maybe try it in 40 years once a few generations of women have grown up on the Internet. :) |

guys have porn - women have romance novels. there are a few exceptions to the rule but it seems to be how the numbers fall. (romance novels is an industry just about as large as porn) want proof - as yourself this, how many guys do you know that buy porn regurally - most do. how many guys buy romance novels - most don't How many women buy porn - most don't. How many women buy romance novels regurally - most do. |

I'm never read a romance novel... that stuff is trash. Erotic fiction is a different thing... much of it is well written and interesting. I think this is a generational issue. Romance novels are porn for older women. Younger girls are more comfortable with sex and with porn and more and more of them will become porn consumers. |
You people are nuts. It's easy to make a chick whip out the credit card.
Just put in big ass letters SALE - 60% OFF REGULAR MONTHLY PRICE No chick can resist a sale...even if it's on something they don't need or want. |

well, suicide girls is sticky with women... over half their subscribers... a lot of the indieporn sites i promote on fucker.net have a large female subscriber base. as for the why... some of them like girls, and some are there to pick up their particular kind of guy. a lot of those sites are a good mix of prose and photos and message boards.

Try marketing erotic fiction to men without PICTURES - it doesn't sell well. Try marketing it to women - well some people call it trash but harliquin make major coin doing it without any pictures. |

Women are not visually stimulated to the degree men are, and things that hold a womans interest for any period of time are not the same, regardless of studies or anything else. If that were the case, 'watch fabio blow load after load from his horse sized uncut schlong' would be all over porn sites and it wouldn't be gay traffic either. |
Quote:
BTW, my :2 cents: - Men are much more visually stimulated than women. Women are stimulated more by their minds/imaginations/emotions. It's just a fact. |
We've got a lot of female members who love gay porn -- for the same reason that het guys like to watch lesbian scenes in vids. I think women are more apt to go for men with men pictorials, vids, etc. -- than hetero fuck pictorials. In fact, nine out of ten doctors recommend gay porn for depressed or dispondent hetero women. Amazing!:evil-laug :evil-laug :evil-laug

I will not disagree that many women like erotic fiction, probably more than they enjoy looking at porn. But the real question is why? It has nothing to do with men being more visually stimulated than women... that's a crock of shit. I'd like to see any real proof of that. It's because most of the images created in today's society are created to cater to men.... in porn and in advertising. Even the attempts at porn for women horribly miss the mark, that's why they don't sell. Another major reason is it's still considered a taboo for women to look at and enjoy porn. Unbelievably it's still considered a taboo for women to have sex at all. Why is it still ok for a man to fuck but not for a woman? Take Lexxx's comment as a prime example... "Hope not. At least some decent girls should be left out there." Come on. It's not "decent" to look at porn? |

Women can't stand an idea of guys taking it up the ass. |
Why would I want to pay for porn when there is so much out there for free? And kazaa. :1orglaugh

I don't see where it's taboo for women to look at it or enjoy it, but I also do not send women running to their purses to pay for it either. Not at the newstands -- I would bet Playgirl and the like do 10% of the sales as comparable mens magazines. Nor do I think there is anything wrong with women having sex, fucking, making love, riding the baloney pony, whatever you choose to call it. Personally and from a business standpoint, I am DELIGHTED that men still think that porn is taboo -- if they didn't they sure as hell wouldn't be paying for it online like they do now. Gay men, maybe, but the fact is, if everyone was open about sex, had no problem with swingers, fetishes, fantasies and that sort of thing, there would be very little money in this business. So far, nothing besides porn has consistently shown itself to be a viable product on the internet. I don't see non adult people getting rich, I see them getting pink slips and unemployment checks. This discussion about porn for women has been going on for years, and no one has come up with a model that makes money like straight porn or gay porn FOR men. Couples probably has a market, but to expect women to start looking at porn by themselves in droves and there to be big money, or even medium money in it, it's probably not going to happen in the next five years like it hasn't in the last five. There's nothing wrong with that -- and there is no reason NOT to make sites for women, just do it with realistic expectations -- build a site that you would like and then see if other women like it, that's the only thing I can tell you about it. |
