SEO'd blogs not converting worht a fuck
 

I have some blogs SEO'd for pornstar names. Seems highly targeted to me. Still not converting worth a fuck. I've never traded this traffic because I thought it was so highly targeted it would hurt more than help. What are your thoughts?

What kind of traffic do you get on those blogs??

if you google those pornstars, or if you search in the searchbox at red,xnx,8,mega, etc. tube can you find those pornstars for free?

Does words "highly targetted seo traffic" doesnt mean anything to you?

Yea. I have a site that does well for solo girls and it converts worse than anything I've ever seen.

I guess since he was speaking of SEO, maybe he is getting um, Search Engine traffic?

Many other factors... the content, the writing... the site you are promoting... the economy... gravity... centrifugal force...

SE traffic has never converted that well for me, unless its on niche specific terms. Are the terms to general that your going after?

I used to go after keywords like "free porn" and "hot babes" stuff like that. brought in thousands of hits a day, but conversions were low. I went after more niche specific terms that maybe bring in a few hundred to a thousand a day, but the conversions are 10x better.

My :2 cents: on SE traffic... these are people who are continuously looking for free porn (movies, pictures, etc). They bounce around from site to site until they find something that gives them a wide range of what they are looking for, like a tube site or TGP. So, for these people their mindset is "internet = free porn" and you have to funnel them down into a paying customer with plenty of teaser galleries and such. showing them "this is crap because its free, this is AWESOME because you pay for it"

i always figured anyone looking for a specific pornstar is either looking for their official site and would bounce from an unofficial site/blog, or for freebies...

Its google and yahoo traffic. They go to a blog bout the specific pornstar they were looking for. I thought I made that clear.

I have one pornstar blog which is #1 in Google's SERP's by her name (she's a rather popular one). You know, that blog was never doing more than $100 a month :helpme :1orglaugh

On the other hand, I have lots of splogs that appear at the top of SERP's by low frequency queries only. These ones have more traffic and they sell better.

Are you only providing them links to actual pornstar sites? You might want to simply offer them an alternative in case they've already seen what you have. Since they are looking for specific names, they've probably seen the same old stuff over and over.

I have an idea or two but would like to take a look at your blog first if you don't mind...

I have some blogs that do the same. Seems the girls official site (if she has one) does better than just a pornstar mega site. Not rocket science that it does , I know..... but this traffic should count as highly targetted yet It isn't performing too good for me either.

I used to be top5 for Aurora Snow, Gauge and one or 2 others in most of the top engines way back when, did really well and was easy money but I guess nowadays it's going to be harder. Which type of sites are you promoting? Their official sites or stuff like Brazzers/Bang Bros. I did really well sending to Deluxepass and Adultbouncer unofficial "fan" type sites.

You're probably right for most people but why don't you ask the guys at freeones how they are converting. They have most of the top spots on google for most pornstar names.

My guess is with enough traffic you will convert. Just a guess though I don't have any experience targeting pornstar names.

Guess its not only Pornstars. It really depends on something i don´t understand atm :-P

Got two niche blogs on page 1 at google , one niche converts really well , one converts like 1 : 15000 and that for SE traffic :/

btw do you really expect to make money by targeting " free porn" ?

Volume is God - Content is King! - Problem is, you can have the best content and no traffic. But if you have traffic volume, you can have shit content and still make money.




Anyway, to the poster. Porn star / solo model niches, and blogs in general. You can't target the single words, you need longer tail phrases. The blogs target single groups of phrases, like Busty Amateurs. So from internal links to external, your links say Busty Amateurs. (or a models name)

While that my produce more traffic (if you get a good listing) at a single level. If your page had the proper words, you could use an anchor text like: Blond Busty Amateurs with large natural tits

At the simplest level, you will now list for several variations of that phrase (based on words on the page and anchor text linking to the page). This will increase the total amount of long tail phrases.

At that point, the words/searches are MUCH more targeted. If a person actually looks up a Blond Busty Amateur with large natural tits, and the search returns that... that's very very targeted/filtered traffic.

Don't take it personally but what You're saying is bullshit, How Seo traffic might be related with the conversions we're talking about, İn My Openion Search Engine traffic is the Cleanest and most quality traffic as many will agree here, Why do You blaim seo for Conversions other then Your content, Your Design Etc???

i've tested this topic and targeted seo towards pornstar blog and found it is similar to seo on a mega boob blog or general porn blog...you may have good serps but sending them to more opportunities and what i mean is this..

dude looks for nika noir or whoever, is horny and wants more of her to wack off, hits your blog sees other bitches that look better so keeps going looking, googling more of the other chicks and surfing

instead send the guy to a specific nika noir blog or landing and having him stay. you may get better results getting more specific and targeting for the exact term. traffic to your site may be less because lack of other terms but your ratios may be better catering towards what specifically they want

Think about what you just said. "With enough traffic you'll convert". No shit? With enough people sent to ANYTHING ( I mean literally ANYTHING... ) you will have some sales. Now that we've established that sending enough retards to a join page - someone WILL join - you have to understand that what you're apparently telling yourself is that MORE traffic will somehow increase your productivity.

Now, our goal isn't to waste our productivity just sending traffic to any old bullshit join page or paysite. The goal is to promote something actually compelling. The goal is efficiency. To make more money with LESS effort, not making MORE money with MORE effort. Do you understand now why what you said is so fucking out-of-this-world moronic?

Most webmasters on this forum need to just forget about all these program's marketing hype promising "the most killer conversion" and realize the reality of the situation. Most of these programs are using licensed content that every surfer on this entire earth has already seen, and the only people these programs and their GFY skins are fooling is you.

Try promoting an entire network of pornstars even if the page is for a specific one. Works great for me.
