QUARANTINE - Anyone see it?

Went and saw quarantine this weekend. Anyone else here go see it? like it? hate it? me personally I kinda liked it but I didn't care for the shaky camera shit through the whole movie like "cloverfield".

Yeah my advice would be unless your just really really into horror movies, save it for the rental counter.

Then you'd prolly enjoy it, the last 20 minutes of the movie kinda takes you on a virtual fight for survival through an apartment building from the ground floor to the top. Kinda reminded me of being in a haunted house kinda feel.

pornguy 10-13-2008 01:34 PM

planned on seeing that one at home.

Quarantine is a remake of [REC], and [REC] is really quite creepy. I'll have to check out Quarantine, though. Hopefully they don't fuck it up.

Jen55 10-13-2008 01:42 PM

saw the original... it was pretty good :)

Pryda 10-13-2008 01:55 PM

Go see [Rec] instead, you won't be disappointed!

Funny thing is from the [REC] trailer on youtube. It looks like they might filmed it in the exact same apartment building. Doorway entry looks the same, layout of the stairs, even the overhead door into the attic.

She was great in that movie (emily rose) and she is the best reason to watch "Dexter" on Showtime. Very talented actress.

I suppose you are so stunning that you are free to look down on all the rest of us weird eyeball people. :Oh crap

I think she is cute, although in the scenes where she is freaking out she looks a little odd, but wouldn't we all. And yes I agree, she was great in Emily Rose and on Dexter.

Yeah the trailer for it looks pretty awesome. :thumbsup

Bojangles 10-13-2008 10:44 PM

Going to go see it soon.

Mr Pheer 10-13-2008 11:43 PM

I havent seen it, but they have a Quarantine haunted house this year at Knott's Scary Farm based on the movie.

Just saw [REC] because I was told quarantine was a remake of it. And dude.... REC is one SCARY mofo of a movie. Reason I always check out the original first is because 9 times outta 10 the remake sucks ass, and if you see the remake first, it spoils watching the original. (the ring, the grudge and so on)

Check out [REC]! Seriously, scariest shit I've seen this year.

Just one of the many scary scenes. You kinda know what's coming, but still dude.....

That looks almost EXACTLY like the final scene in Quarantine. Damn near a carbon copy honestly. The last 20 minutes of the movie are pretty scary, and the night vision scene is definitely the most terrifying scene in the movie.

Exactly. The only exception that comes to mind is The Incredible Hulk. The 2008 (Ed Norton) version was WAY better than the '04 (or whatever year it came out) version.

I saw the movie and it made me sick. I had to leave partway through.

After a heavy night of drinking the "blair witch effect" camera work in this flick was too much for me....

I saw it with a couple of chicks and a couple of cocktails - I thought it was great, really tight and well paced.
