And for the record, the closure had nothing to do with success.. It's a matter of public record what happened.. Seems SOMEBODY WITH A VENDETTA hacked the server and deleted everything. I had other ventures with higher priority, so said fuck it and announced the closure.

That would easily double the money you made with the webmaster program.

A competent webmaster would have had:

1. A secure server. Only an idiot would launch a program on a server that isn't both secure and dedicated.

2. A backup system. Recovering from loss of data isn't a big deal for most of us. In fact, it's usually no more than a minor distraction. I just lost a drive due to a hardware failure a couple of months ago which killed 45 sites. I had incremental backups on a second drive and was back up and completely operational in less than 2 hours.

This is just another example of how stupid and incompetent you are. I hope there are 7-11s up there you can work at. Just don't fuck up selling Slurpees like you have fucked up in this business or you will find yourself out of work again.

Running a webmaster program and not spending 100 a month on a back up system is so Spacedog :1orglaugh The guy is totally, and i really mean totally fucking clueless.

The server was secure. It was one of the scripts used that was insecure and the attack was via mysql injection via one of the form text fields.

There was a backup, but the fucking server admin went to make a new backup, problem was that he was backing up an empty server and when he did so, he overwrote the original backup. I had the original html fies/content on my harddrive, but decided to throw in the towel on it since I was not motivated to reconfigure all the scripts/dB, etc and do the ftp of all the content. The first time I ftp everything took up almost a week.

I had other sites such as TGP, blogs, etc that were making far more money than the paysite.. Dude, I was so fucking pissed off about getting hacked that I lost interest in the paysites and just focused on salvaging everything else.

That's what you get for using scripts with emotional problems.

That's a beginner newbie admin mistake... If I were you I would have outted the host on GFY for incompetence.
