Has the US ever had a big conspiracy??? People talk about Kennedy, moon landing and 911 in terms of this but now I have several friends who think global warming is all a big conspiracy. Why is this? Has their ever been one proven or one that you know about?

The U.S. has actually attacked itself a few times, to start or have a reason to go into War. They started off as conspiracy theories, but later proved to be fact.

If you can prove it, you end up dead before you get the chance.

Even project MKULTRA is a proven conspiracy. It was the CIA's mind control program. They even had congressional hearings about it eventually, and it was discovered that the Director of the CIA at the time had the majority of files relating to the project destroyed.

Do not get me wrong. I know Governments, particularly agencies typically have done some vile shit and continue to do so. I am just more of a realist and not a conspiracy theorist. The vast, and I do mean vast conspiracy theories out there I personally think are 95% full on bullshit sprinkled in with about an even mixture of facts and assumption strings.

On the 3rd October 1995 ,President Clinton publicly apologized to the thousands of people who became victims of MK ULTRA and other mind-control experimental programs.

I do not think in terms of conspiracy. Global warming takes like 2 minutes to get the facts. Tons of older people think it is false and being done just to spend money on research that is meaningless. I have no idea why they would think this but they do. So I thought maybe as you age you run across so many huge times your govt has lied to you that you believe they are always doing it.
