a program that makes thumbnails and pages from pics....
I need a free program that'll take the pics in a directory, resize them to thumbnails, and put X amount of pics on each page..
Anyone know one? |
You need Arles do a search on google for it
|
|
Look at ThumbsPlus, too. Which program works best for you may depend on exactly what you need.
|
It's amazing how many people don't know that PhotoShop has that feature, so in case you have that program you won't need to look any further.
|
Photoshop 7 or CompuPic Pro at http://www.photodex.com
CompuPic is an amazing program with a ton of features. |

Acdsee is good

Arles or ACDSee.

For small to medium sized galleries, use Arles. It is a little more versatile.
However, I've found that Arles chokes on large batches. For larger batch processes, I use Smaller Animal's Thumbnailer. Can be found at: http://www.smalleranimals.com Anyhow, that's my :2 cents: . |
PhotoShop is the bomb bitches!! Go into Windows explorer, and navigate to your photoshop directory, then go here.
Photoshop 7.0\Presets\WebContactSheet\Simple Ok, copy those files and create a new directory in WebContactSheet and paste those files into that new directory. Now go into your fav web editor, and modify the indexpage and the sub page templates with your logo, and bg color of choice. You can pretty much fuck with it all you want just as long as you don't fuck with anything inside the "%" tags. Save your editing jobs. Now go into PhotoShop>Batch>web gallery (or whatever the fuck it's called) and bang out your members area galleries. Once you make that template once. It should be the default next time you make a gallery. So it's easy as hell to make more gallerues. I do all the CollegeFuckFest galleries this way it takes literally 5 mouse clicks, and it's done. And to watermark them build an Action and run the images thru it first, then thru the webgallery maker. I'm looking to see if it will watermark the images as it's creating the gallery but I don't see the gallery making file in the folders yet. |
Great idea, thanks man :thumbsup
How the hell did you find that out? |
