Looks like you already had a couple bottles.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-10-2008 02:10 PM

I Wouldnt know anything about German wine.
Hell the label does not even call it a Red, Chardennay, Cabernet, Reisling or anything. But for $130 Bucks USD it better be good.
What is it?

I prefer Port Wines myself.

baddog 10-10-2008 02:11 PM

I had some good red in Germany, but could not tell you what it was.

The Adult Broker 10-10-2008 02:12 PM

I love a great red. Aria Giovanni knows her wines and I will tell her about this one. :)

BVF 10-10-2008 02:12 PM

I'm into the Chilean Merlot myself...

To my own surprise is from Austria ! Normally France & Italy are famous about the great ones.

Port: Did you ever have a really good PX (Pedro Ximinez) ? I love that stuff after desert.
The older the better

Funny about these wine prices:
http://www.reisenhofer.info/heinrich...004_5960_7.htm (149 euro)
http://cgi.ebay.at/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...%3D4%26ps%3D41 (35 to 99 per bottle)

Also good from the same house is "Heinrich Pannobile 2004 or 2005" I bought them last year

facialfreak 10-10-2008 02:44 PM

I love Australian Shiraz :)

I have been known to be quite fond of a nice Pinot Noir from time to time too!

Do tell her! It's really worth it. Reviews say it's 90-95% out of 100 I googled.
Mail me sometimes I want to conduct some bizz with you :winkwink:

if you like a heavy and dark red wine you have to try a "Barolo".

Yeah...its become outrageous. Wolf bass & Rodney Strong are also pretty good.

The wife and I were really into Rieslings especially this summer. Went to some vineyards and fell in love with them though I don't think we'd drink them any other time but summer lol

Imortyl Pussycat 10-10-2008 05:38 PM

wow i am hankerin for a glass of red vino right now! i am curious about this wine as well. couldnt make out if it was near a merlot or cab. i am in love with cab but can't stand merlot. can you tell us what Salzberg is most like?

95 was a great year for brunello.

JP-pornshooter 10-11-2008 12:06 AM

barolo was my favorite italian.. brought home a few bottles from italy a couple years ago.
i recently had a california red, cabernet.. called "the show", got it at cost plus where they have a decent selection. it is around $12 per bottle, buy a case.. it is that good.
i got a 2005 but i havent seend any around lately, 2006 should be good also.

NicAngel 10-11-2008 05:48 AM

i drink more red wine than water sometimes.

Zuzana Designs 10-11-2008 06:57 AM

I love red wine.. Please send me a bottal so I can test it :)

F-U-Jimmy 10-11-2008 08:38 AM

Its $202.79 a bottle and for that price i would expect it to be a great wine :thumbsup
I tend to stick with French wines like Lynch Barge 2002 or 2003 great years and you can still get it at a good price
