I thought the theory behind it was really interesting but overall I thought it was a fairly poor movie and rally badly acted.

Really?? Usually I really like his movies (my fav was Signs) anyways, I wasn't impress at all with this one....really disappointed by the acting......

Deej 10-10-2008 07:00 AM

Just watched it - definitely graphic. Not gruesome, but graphic.

I'm going to watch it again before i take it back.

I would say the only disappointment is that it ended abruptly.

I blame john liguizamo

The Duck 10-10-2008 07:01 AM

sucks bigtime

Rebel D 10-10-2008 07:02 AM

My fav was unbreakable. Signs is in my top 10 worst watched movies of all time. his movies are up and down for me. the village was pretty good, Unbreakable was awesome, same as the sixth sense. so interested to see this one

Me too... Acting was bad I thought.

M. Night Shyamalan usually is awesome and creates amazing ''ambiances'' and ''atmosphere'' in his movies. This is what he excels in. :thumbsup

But for the Happening, I really didn't feel the 'emergency' of the situation, the actors couldn't make me believe in the intensity of the moment.

Ok I have a hard time explaining what I mean. lol Hope you understand.

I really loved the idea though, but he's really all about the atmosphere in his movies, and The Happening just didn't do it for me.

M Night has been saying recently that he is ready to start writing the sequel to "Unbreakable". Back right after the first one came out, he was saying the sequels might be called "Breakable" and "Broken". I hope he goes through with it.

The Happening sucks for several reasons, but this one takes the cake: "We have to run faster than the wind" lol

Totally understand what you mean, in Signs the atmosphere was insane. You really feel that its how you would react in that same situation, i mean normal family hides in the basement and all...

I'm gonna check it out!

evildick 10-10-2008 07:41 AM

has to be better than lady in the water

Lamis 10-10-2008 07:48 AM

Do people still rent movies at blockbuster??

lol.. All the blockbusters in my city closed down. It is a non-profitable business..

Only someone stupid would rent a movie nowadays.

BluMedia 10-10-2008 08:05 AM

Omg it was the worst movie I have ever seen. Even my hardcore Night Shyamalan friends hated it.

Mark

Bama 10-10-2008 08:11 AM

Ross 10-10-2008 08:24 AM

I watched it on my flight to Toronto and hated it. Load of bollocks,

pornguy 10-10-2008 08:36 AM

I rented it as well.

CaptainHowdy 10-10-2008 10:15 AM
