How much is your mood linked to your stats?

Is your mood linked to how your stats are going during the day? I am finding that to be more and more the case that when my personal stats are down during a day I start to get pissy and the other way around when they are up.

I have to agree :)

fallenmuffin 10-10-2008 02:54 AM

You'd be surprised at how a mind set can effect things you have "no" control over. Mine are completely linked or so it would seem.

then you have to get a life.

rather possibly true

Safe to say my mood is linked to my numbers. I am pretty good at not letting poor numbers get me down most of the time but I sure do get happy when they are up.

Life has a golden glow to it when the sales fairy has been generous. ;)

I don't know so much that I get pissy as I feel a slight thread of stress. When sales ebb for me, there's always a feel of...not panic...but there is a mental freak out. I'm not talking a single day, but one of the valleys.

And that is probably borne of fear that the nice little gig I have going on will all fall to pieces and I will be forced to do the unthinkable...

aka...

I dont get down when my numbers are. I start thinking more, and trying to find out why. Makes me wish there were more than 36 hours in a day.

Yup..that exactly sums it up.

It is amazing what the idea of a commute on the horizon will do for my mood.

AnniKN 10-10-2008 07:48 AM

Actually, when I don't obsess over stats is when I make sales lol, so for me it comes the other way around: if I'm stressed and working like mad and checking stats, they will suck... if I for some reason have something to do that makes it impossible for me to obsess over the stats, they go awesome

Tippy 10-10-2008 08:06 AM

Theres no way in hell that making 1 sale in a day vs making 10 wouldnt affect your mood, if it has no affect theres something wrong upstairs and you should seek help...

Sosa 10-10-2008 08:06 AM

yeah they affect how i'm feeling a lot of times

Manowar 10-10-2008 08:37 AM

PR updates also can depress or make your day

Scott McD 10-10-2008 08:49 AM

I'm always in a good mood... :winkwink:

footmonkey 10-10-2008 09:03 AM

Depends on what else is going on..

If stats are the only thing occupying my mind and they are down that is a bad bad place.

If there's other work stuff and socializing to do then its all good.

BlackCrayon 10-10-2008 09:05 AM

I seemed to be a lot happier when i was making 1500-2000/day.

I have noticed that my mood is related to stats, yes. I've been depressed, lol.

With time, you learn to live with the ups and downs... tomorrow is always another day...

BradM 10-10-2008 10:14 AM

100% completely linked

Porko 10-10-2008 10:17 AM

Hopefully a lot of us have ground floor flats or windows that don't open. The bail out plan should have included a porn fund for helping bankers get rid of tension.

mine is directly related. i have stats remote staring me in the face on a monitor right when i turn the computer on. i get really frustrated after a days worth of work and get very little sales

polle54 10-10-2008 10:39 AM

of course they are, my way of life depends on the stats
