Scary thing is your right. Look under the shipping info button.
"Due to overwhelming response, this item will be delivered in 10-15 business days."

spacedog 10-10-2008 12:09 AM

V_RocKs 10-10-2008 12:57 AM

What effect me at all.

Unemployment with go to 12% but that means 88% still buy porn... So I will lose out on 12% - the normal 5% = 7%....
whahhh.. I lose out on 7% of my income.. not going to break me.

Unemployment was as high as 25% in the last great depression. If it does get as bad as that was, most people won't even have computers or the internet, let alone buy porn. Unemployment rates mean shit anyways because if a person is unemployed for a long period of time, they no longer count as a statistic.

We do not calculate the stats the same. Wish we did but we do not. Both parties fuck with them in their own ways too. I am pretty sure right now if you do not have a job and no longer get an unemployment check, stat wise you are not unemployed anymore. (feel free to correct me, like anyone needs permission). Hell we have had over a year of consecutive job losses, and that does not even account for new people coming of age and entering the job market.

Brad Gosse 10-10-2008 05:05 AM

Worst case our money will become worthless which may happen if governments keep creating more to feed the markets. I live on 10 acres half of which is forest and I can always grow my own food and shoot at the tax man if he shows up with his hat in hand.

I don't think it will come to that but if it does I am ready. ;)

Yeah, I edited my post to point that out. If the unemployment rate was 25% in the middle of the great depression, I can only imagine the reality was probably more like 50%, if not more.

pornguy 10-10-2008 06:23 AM

Anyone who thinks they are Stocked up and ready may have a sad time if that were to happen.

Something like that hits in more ways than one.

And it it does again, it will be a LOT worse than the last, as it will be a GLOBAL THING

ajrocks 10-10-2008 06:25 AM

I have not doubt that things are going to suck for a few years but there isn't going to be a Depression. There is too much government intervention now and a lot more social safety nets like, UI and Welfare. During the depression, there was nothing like that in place.

My point on the other hand is it seems like we do not really know the current numbers today. We do know job loss numbers, so to speak as if I recall that requires minimum number of hours to count anyways, who still gets an unemployment check, etc. Real numbers though, fuck no.

What happens next when companies need to save some cash for their bottom lines, or after potential dismal Christmas sale earnings (big chunk of many companies bottom lines).

Um the Great Depression was a "global thing", hence the word "great". Many countries were hit as hard if not harder than the US was.

dropped9 10-10-2008 06:38 AM

Wonder how many people thought like that weeks before the first depression? And what happened to them afterwards...
