You should set your ip address to 10.1.1.2 and your rautor
to 10.1.1.4 .. GFY is on 10.1.1.23. so that gives you class
c access to the board.

Dont forget to setup the UIW gateway (192.168.1.23)
with default packet forwarding OFF.

static ip... the same ip all the time

in that case you need to set the router's ip to that adress and configure each machine on your network to use whatever the inside address of the router is (192.168.0.1 as the gateway. Or if your netgear runs dhcp, then just set each machine to obtain an ip address automatically from the router.

After you set the routers ip address, dns servers, etc. Youll either need to reboot your pc with the new settings or release and renew your ips from a dos prompt.

most likely the 192.168.0.1 is the inside ip address (not public) default gateway.
